The one thing that stood out to me was the absence of Sharpe in the second half until garbage time.

Lots of factors go into +/- but here is his over the last 10 games.

    -8
    -14
    +1
    -7
    -12
    -10
    +8
    +2
    +18
    -16

I really hope Payton plays soon. Love Sharpe's future but it does not look like we can afford to play him minutes right now.

Are those numbers right? Looking at ESPN box scores, I see minus 8 yesterday and minus 14 in the previous (Denver) game

nurk 3-pointer is legit, it looks effortless and really pretty, all those off-seasons of practicing 3-pointers are paying off now and he should keep shooting them when hes open and hes hitting them from all positions

but yeah, as someone already said, you have to involve nurk in the offense to make him happy in order get best effort out of him

two very different halves, you could see energy and intensity in the second half on the defensive end, its all about effort and effort is inconsistent to say the least

How wasn’t it pleasant? I’m to young to remember but I read in the past Paul Allen worked with Drexler to get him traded to his hometown team that came off a championship.

Nothing worse than somebody holding tightly to a position that is unsupported by all available facts and data.

Just because you're unwilling to believe that he can shoot 3's efficiently and consistently doesn't mean that he can't. He's been 40-45% all year, and doesn't have a single significant stretch all season where he's below 30%. You might just want to consider that this Nurk-shooting-3's thing is worthwhile and here to stay.

Agree somewhat, but think Lillard is different plus has more business here, like his car dealership. Guessing he wants his kids to grow up in one place as well.

Not seeing a trade. His contract makes that a tough sell. Hopefully after the new extension runs thru, he wants to stay here on a sensible deal. Would hate to be like the Lakers at the backend of Kobe's deal. Kobe retired at 37 and the last year of the new money Lillard is 36.

yes let's handcuff a 45% 3pt shooter from shooting another 3 ever again.

    glad you aren't the coach.

Funny thing is that Nurk's .462 from 3 is a better eFG than either of the guys in the StatMuse tweet HCP posted here. I don't think anyone would begrudge Nurk shooting 20 shots a game if he were hitting nearly 70% in the paint . 1.386 points-per-shot is phenomenal, regardless of where the shots come from.

yup. keep milking it til he misses. and if he regresses, so be it. but to stop him now would be idiotic.

even chauncey in his postgame yesterday said he'd add some wrinkles to ATOs to take advantage of the defensive coverage Nurk is getting up top. And he said he's neither been given a green light nor stopped him from shooting, just encouraged him to make the reads and shoot it if nothing else is open. Was music to my ears to hear that.

    So did I.

The last two games should be at the bottom. Games 1-8 should occupy the first 8 spots.

But that won't happen. Nurk is effective shooting relaxed unguarded slow windup and release practice threes in games. Just like Mr. Swish Three Leonard when he was here. Nurk has a close to zero chance of making tightly guarded threes at a useful rate. Once he's scouted his opportunities to take threes will be few. I'm happy with Nurk taking two a game when he's in a different zip code than any defender.

i dont know if this is quick windup/release, but it aint slow

if he has a lot of space, theres no need to do it quickly
