@Denver, Nurkic 6 Points Jokic 36 Points vs Philadelphia Nurkic 4 Points Embiid 32 Points vs Lakers Nurkic 2 Points Bryant 31 Points In total, Nurkic got outscored 99:12 in his last 3 games by his opponent Center, that's atrocious. I don't even know what to say anymore
We’ve known he sucks for awhile now. Now the league knows he sucks and his trade value is at an all time low
That Joe gave him a 4-year deal is shades of Neil handing out all those max length contracts to Meyers, Harkless, Aminu, Turner, etc. Fireable offenses.
now fans have a real reason to be outraged by nurks play, maybe nurk is doing it on purpose im loving it, if youre gonna hate on me, im gonna give you a reason to do so hopefully another nurk disasterclass incoming tonight against the spurs
you might think hes not very good, but surely hes not looking like an nba player right now or that he actually gives a fuck
sure is looking like it was a mistake to re-sign him for 17.5M/year. His salary is 8.5 times higher than Eubanks. Is Nurkic 8.5 times better than Eubanks? And yeah, I know it doesn't quite work that way but still...
Poeltl and Collins might not be the Joker and Eiimbid. But there better the Bryant and actually both having decent season. Both recently be looking to score more. Zach been really aggressive lately on the offense end just still need more consistent nightly. So Nurk and Eubanks going have there hands full tonight. Both also good offense rebounders especially poeltl.
What center could we have gotten that would have been better and cost less? Any other talent going out would be very bad unless we were getting a significant upgrade over Nurk. I didn't see an option that would qualify.
Yeah, I thought we had to retain Nurk, I did want the contract to be for less but it's not too outrageous that it can't be traded. That being said, I thought and still hope that we signed Nurk and Ant understanding that they don't fit (Nurk with Chauncey's system and Ant next to Dame) but Joe made clear that he wanted to see that for himself. Hopefully Joe had gauged the interest around the league, knew that he could get some good pieces for them if things didn't work and now is figuring out what the most he can get for them is because they obviously don't work. I say all of that because both of these guys have things that some coaches really like and could be useful. Ant could be a useful starter and 30+ minute player on a lot of teams. Nurk could be a very good weapon on both ends who could start or play a lot of minutes off the bench depending on lineups/matchups but that's only if a team needs someone to anchor their defense in the paint... this bullshit that Chauncey has Nurk doing is outside of his abilities and it both gets him into foul trouble and weakens his defensive potency. I would also imagine that with Nurk a lot of coaches have to think that he just hasn't had a coach, like they think they are, who can get through to him about the bullshit he pulls on offense. As for Ant I think the appeal is clear, he's a bucket (scores really well at all three levels), he's super athletic and he's just 23. I love Ant and if we weren't keeping Dame, I would want to keep Ant for good and pair him with Shae in what would likely be the best back court in the league in just a few seasons but he just does not fit with Dame. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the way Joe is playing things, that there actually is that interest out there and that Joe's plans and other teams' interest coalesce.
