No, but if Ham likes Nurk so much, they can add Bryant to Beverly and we would still be taking back less money than we would send out.

Marang said that in his post-game comments, Dame said they came out in the 3rd like they thought the Lakers would roll over.

Seriously? This team thought any other team would roll over to them? And if that is the case, where is the leadership? Chauncey can't let that be the case. And Dame is supposed to be the 'best leader in the NBA'. How does anyone in that locker room, given their record and the way they start 1st and 3rd quarters, think any game is over at halftime?

Well-said. This team can’t afford to take anything for granted. It’s laughable that they do.

I'd suggest you listen to Dame's comments first hand as your version of Marang's version of Dame's version appears to be missing a couple important words. He did speculate what the Lakers might've been thinking and what his teammates might've been thinking, but I didn't take the entire first minute of what he said as they simply came out assuming the Lakers wouldn't try.

If the Blazers don't make the playoffs they keep the pick.

Better dim more lights at the Moda. Maybe they can darken 200 level now so it doesn't look like a crowd at the Portland Pilots game.

I was referring to this game where we saw Grant bringing the ball up.

Can’t believe we went to the WCF with Amini-Harkless and Enes Kanter as our starting 5. This team on papers looks better against those guys. Still embarrassed about last night.

I think you're sort of misinterpreting what Dame meant. He didn't say the Blazers actually thought the Lakers would roll over. More that the Blazers relaxed and couldn't get their mojo back once the Lakers built a little momentum. Maybe that's a distinction without much difference

this Portland team has no foundation or identity right now. They don't have anything established they can turn to when they have some adversity or face stiff resistance. Because of the massive roster flaw of a significantly undersized rotation, they have no margin of error.

there's a lot of negative factors at work , IMO: unbalanced roster (a multi-year problem); lack of length (olshey-itis); no high-level 2nd option (settling for CJ and Ant, neither of whom have close to 2nd option talent); massive inconsistency; and a coaching staff apparently determined to try and jamb square pegs into round holes

the difference between this year's flawed team and the previous flawed versions is that those previous teams had enough familiarity with each other and the schemes to win almost all of the games they should have won. If the Blazers could have just won the Orlando and last night's Laker game they'd be 23-23, tied for 7th seed and 1 game out of 5th seed. But I'd anticipate they will continue to drop games like the Orlando/LAL games until there are some major roster changes or the coaching staff completely remodels their schemes....which is nearly impossible to do mid-season

Aminu and Harkless was pretty good defenders because they was long and kanter was pretty good offense player and Zach Collins was pretty good on the defense in the playoffs especially against Denver that year. They don't have that length anymore any the middle now isn't as consistent as they was in the playoffs that year. Nurk injuries have caught up with him especially on defense end and still try to his flips shots on offense. Grant should probably be playing small forward instead of power forward and hart or Simons probably should probably be come off the bench I would say Simons due Hart better defender then Simons. They need a decent power forward for this team someone little nasty in them something also lacking on this team.

If Portland had any balls, they would bring Kanter back. But of course they’re bowing down to China like the rest of the NBA, so screw them.

Team really flaw when Dame goes for 50 or 40 and you still on opposite of the score board. When he has off shooting night then you know your in real trouble sometimes that night. When everything clicks like 2nd quarter they look like really good team but again the team that put up 43 points in the 2nd quarter is the same team that put up 41 points in whole 2nd half. If Nurk not involved or having a bad shooting night that effects his whole game the rest of the night. Eubanks has hard as he plays just can't be that anchor in the middle of you think he going take up the slack in the middle.

Some will say that Billups isn’t using him right. Strange, this would be the 3rd straight head coach doing that.

Not sure where the opinion that I’m happy when we lose came from. I have never been happy after a loss ever.

It's 8 minute long and some of the tone would probably add better context, but I thought the juicy part was when (I'm summarizing) Billups told Quick? to go ahead and write what they want regarding if the Blazers need to trade for more talent, but that he's going to ride with his guys. Some may have taken it that Billups loves his guys, others might view it as him saying they need more talent, without saying it.

Another line I found interesting/odd was Dame talking about the teams lack of experience in big games.

Overall, you could tell everyone is frustrated (understandably).
