    1. Suck at the beginning of a game against the Lakers to piss fans off.
    2. Draw them back in by having the best quarter ever and going up hugely! "This could be a turning point in the season!" they think, not having learned anything from years of following this cursed franchise.
    3. Blow it all and have Patrick Fucking Beverley crowing in our faces. Managing to make a nine point loss feel like a 90 point loss.

Thanks Blazers! That's why we've stuck with you for the past FORTY SIX YEARS.

Congratulations on volunteering to be the "Did this really need to be a thread?" guy for this particular thread. Every thread needs one, and you're it for this one. Every "Did this really need to be a thread?" guy provides a valuable service, so I just wanted to let you know that you are seen, and you are valued.

We have a finite number of threads we can post every year. He's just trying to protect this forum from frivolous thread posting. What if we run out of threads by the time we get eliminated in the first round? What will we do when we can't post any more threads to whine about the coach/GM/owner/players? WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE THREADS!?!

It actually is kind of valued since this was tailor made for the Lakers thread. Soooo.

But, its you, so it's also not surprising.

You don't need a volunteer I'm pretty sure most of the forum is together on the sentiment that you make threads out of posts that belong in threads that already exist a few times a day or at least several times a week. You're free to do so, it's just mildly annoying.

yes, but if you find other trash talk funny, then you should find this funny to

sometimes youre the one dishing it out, sometimes youre the one on the receiving end, thats how it goes

we love when dame lillard does dame time, but how his opponents and their fans feel about it, surely its irritating in the moment, cause youre/your team is losing

i dont know how opposing fans react in the nba arenas to gestures like that, but in the part of the world where i live, he would get called all kind of names lol

Another noble member of the thread police! Keep up your valuable work: threads are a precious resource, and every time an unnecessary thread is started, a puppy dies.

I would hate to disappoint my fanbase.

A reminder - you do not, under any circumstances, have to give it to him.

i know, but this was pretty good

nba needs more stuff like this between opponents, games will be more enjoyable and competitive when it becomes personal

they all seem to be friends, all smiles and hugs, no real competitiveness

It's like when he doesn't see his picture on the front page of threads he has to make another useless thread?

But if we run out of threads then theoretically we'd have reached the end of the internets and wouldn't that be fun!?!?!?!?

Seriously, fuck Pat Beverly. He's on my short list of most unlikable in the entire NBA which is quite the statement.

How big an unlikeable asshole does one have to be to be the unquestioned biggest unlikeable asshole on a team with Lebron James and Russell Westbrook on it?
