I've gone back and forth about it. I said all summer and well into the season that I wanted to see a full year of Dame/Ant and the rest of the roster. But lately I've been thinking if Ant can bring back another close-to-all-star level wing, go for it

but of course games like tonight kind of put the kabosh on that. Still, Ant isn't going to be hot every game like this. What he's done over the first 50+ games of the season also factors in, and it hasn't all been good

I would like to see Watford start the next game. He brings another dimension to the offense and the defense doesn't suffer much if any. Watford looks better defending the perimeter.

Tonight's game started horribly so a change is warranted.

I love his hustle but I want to see a lot of these guys go. I just hope the guys coming back make sense. If Hart wanted to stay and not make too much more money and know that it was only a matter of time before Sharpe got his PT, then yeah I'd want to keep him but Josh seems like a pretty smart dude... don't think he'll stick around.

And just like that, we’ve passed the Lakers, Thunder, and Pelicans over the last 6 games.

What makes or made Draymond Green so difficult on offense was that although he was not a three point shooter you could not fall asleep on him or he would dribble-drive to the hoop and score.
Watford brings that dimension that Eubanks or even Nurkic lack.

Following the standings in the west this season is dizzying. What an incredibly wobbly pecking order...that's why it's a good year to go for it.

by the way, was I the only person that was frustrated with how passively Portland was in switching Dame & Simons onto Porzingis? That's what the wiards wanted and the Blazers gave it to them with very little resistance

Blazers switched everything the whole game. Wizards should have went to it more

There will be no more "Watford is terrible" posts.

    I have spoken.

People reacting to tonight and saying that they want to keep Ant and who have watched the rest of the season are tripping. Ant and Dame are not complementary... I get it that both can get hot and that one can get hot and cover for the other but there needs to be more synergy than that.

This feels like the six fucking years I had to say this until I was blue in the face about CJ but Ant will be better off without Dame and as long as Dame has a big guard who can defend and hit the open three next to him, he'll be better off without Ant.

I want fair value for Ant and I won't flip out if we wait until the off season to move him but that should only be if there isn't a trade for him that balances this roster and brings back close to equal talent.

I kept thinking all first half: WA has those two huge guys and we got nothing. But somehow we worked around that disadvantage.

Watford had a good game, and conceptually he's the type of player the Blazers could really use. But so far he's been like the poorest of poor version of that player. Hopefully this game is something to build on for him.

Just wish he was a little bit bigger and and a little bit longer. ( now I just looked it up, his wingspan is 7' 2.25")

He might be one of those players who needs more minutes in a gme to be effective, or maybe he was pressing when he knew he wouldn't be in long?

What Watford's game shows us is that we need a different starting C. That's one thing that can't wait. That doesn't even mean we have to trade Nurk... just get a guy who can better execute what Chauncey is asking for and bring Nurk off the bench if you have to. Don't get me wrong ideally we will trade Nurk.

It's pretty early in his career.
