Hell no. The issue the Raptors have is that all of a sudden they are not the only sellers of a 3 and D guy and Brooklyn is going to have a monster tax bill for a team that goes nowhere. They are going to sell some of their 3 and D guys.
ant for sure helps And people don’t think Dame would get us 2-3 FRP’s lol. He wouldn’t get a Durant return but it wouldn’t be far off. That said no I don’t want to trade Dame unless he wants to be traded
OG is not better than Mikal, IMO. Mikal is as good of a defender (both are elite) and is a better offensive player. I'm so glad we didn't give 3 firsts for OG. Some might've loved it in the short term, but come to regret it later after reality sunk in.
I love Dame, I do go around saying we should trade Dame, but there are certainly packages I would take back in return for him. At the end of the day, you have to listen to all offers. I'd probably say no to every offer Portland would get, but why not take the 15 seconds to listen?
Any offer for prime Dame at this point would be insulting. If we're going nowhere, I might as well enjoy being able to watch him play.
For comparison: Both very good defenders - Bridges has been an All-NBA defender. OG hasn't reached that yet Scoring - both are ~17 ppg Rebounding - Edge to OG Assists - Edge to Bridges 3pt shooting - edge to Bridges FG shooting - slight edge to Bridges Size - OG has Mikal by 20+ lbs
He is? I think they are interchangeable with Bridges being a little better, both are around the same age, both shoot around 37% from the 3, Bridges has a higher career TS%, both are great defensively, this year, OG has a negative OBPM where Bridges is positive. I would argue that Bridges is a little better and has been in the league one less year. Either one would be great for many teams including the Blazers, but if the real issue here is not which one is slightly better, it is the fact that the market now has multiple 3 and D potential guys - with Brooklyn having too many it seems. There was only OG really available before.
I like his size more (and most of the league I’d imagine). Arguably a better defender. Slightly younger. Probably more injury prone. Closer than I thought though given Bridges play this year.
