I don't even know what "right coach" means, but good for them. I don't really worry about OKC or Utah's coaches.

Some people thought Billups was the "right coach" early this season and last season. Maybe with a championship level roster he would be, I don't know.

exactly....he's not stupid but he's out of position and confused on defense too often....like every single Blazer. That can only be coaching

Stotts is actually a person. A good human being you are slandering by out and out saying he sucks. First of all, he’s a championship winning assistant coach. And as a head coach, he won 4 playoff series. His team got back to back 3 seeds with only one All Star on the roster. Saying he “sucks” is childish and you shouldn’t be allowed to be a moderator using language like that.

Chauncey hasn't come close to that. Probably won't.

I’m giving Chauncey a long ass leash. Because in my mind this is an awful roster and I’ve said so for a couple years. No balance whatsoever.

You look at a team like OKC and there’s LENGTH at every positions. This is the modern NBA. You try and out shoot another team on a nightly basis you’re essentially rolling the dice

He may or may not be the right coach. But you don’t know unless you try. We already knew what Stotts was about. And just because we hired a worse coach, it doesn’t absolve Stotts. Both could be mediocre or bad coaches. It just means we made the wrong hire. I am willing to admit that Chauncey might not be the right guy. I just hope they realize it quick and don’t let him stay for a decade.

And I am well aware of your love affair with Stotts so I’ll end the conversation here.

    It’s not a subjective opinion. It’s slander.

The goal should be to improve our lottery position. The last two seasons, SGA sat out a lot to improve their draft position. It happens. Horford was kept off the floor. Dallas sat their starters during 4th quarters so they could get Luka. This is a good draft. Tell Dame it’s better for his career to sit the rest of this out. The Sharpe pick was a home run. Let’s get one more. And if it’s Wembenyama, we’re in business! But even if it’s not, we could put our 2 picks (go Knicks) in a trade for someone like Siakam or OG. Utah and OKC have already passed us. Let the Lakers pass us too and then become an Orlando Magic fan. Getting to 5th lottery position gives us a 10% chance at the #1 pick. Joe should sell Dame on that.

Phil Jackson is the greatest coach of all time. He also always had multiple Hall of Famer’s. The few times in which he didn’t, his teams weren’t that great.

I feel like the best coaches in the NBA is way more about managing ego’s than any kind of X’s and O’s.

No. I’m 100% onboard with what you’re saying. It’s a breath of fresh air from the homer shit you used to be all about

I apologized about that. Dame is amazing and I feel bad for ever talking shit about him. In fact he deserves better than this garbage organization

I mean why do people think 1st round picks are such a hot commodity these days. Scrapping it out and rebuilding if it isn’t working is chique these days.

Look how Boston was built, looks how Golden State was built. It was because they got those picks. It didn’t take them decades clinging on..

The Durant’s, Harden’s, Irving’s are fun to talk about but that’s it. Good teams are built organically. Through hitting home runs with 1sts

If Billups coached the Celtics would they be a contender? Because it was all about how great they are with Udoka. They sure haven’t missed a beat with Mazzula
