What a weak call to decide a SB

That defensive holding penalty completely ruined what should have been an absolute classic of a Super Bowl. Just disgusting.

This will go down in history. Unless it’s egregious you can’t let that decide a SB

Tough call. I'd be pissed if I was an Eagles fan.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't really care for either team, but that just seemed cheap..

I mean Mahomes just threw it in the air because he was getting hurried. It wasn’t anything crazy. Nothing to decide a SB

Is it possible for a team to win a title and not say "Nobody thought we could win... put some respect on our name!" despite it being a totally false narrative?

I don’t like the chiefs but I’m pumped that Philly lost. Fuck the eagles and their fans after the shit they talked about the Niners.

Whatever it takes for teams and players to motivate themselves doesn’t bother me. Some people thrive off that mentality that they’re doubted.

I think 70% of the public was on the Eagles so they might be onto something thinking they were doubted

False narratives.....not exactly anything new these days.

There were certainly people who doubted them after they traded away Tyreke Hill....thought they were rebuilding a bit. And Philly was the favorite. Didn't have a dog in this fight, but players do stuff like that all the time to pump themselves up. Jordan was a master at it.

Eagles gave up a 50yd run with 2 minutes left to a QB that could barely walk.

Game feels like a letdown. That penalty killed all the excitement

The spread was 1pt, the sharpe money was mostly on KC, so to say "nobody believed in us" is just false. I get that it's just sports, and so the mentality or spreading a lie to justify being the victim isn't as bad as it might be in other areas of life. At the very least, it's becoming an old line. At least get creative!

Edit: I believe they were the preseason favorites to win it all.

Exactly. To say "some people doubted us" would be stating the obvious as no team is unamiously picked to win it all. Likewise, to say "nobody believed in us." is a tired cliche that is 100% false.

How about just be excited you won and not make it about you being slighted? Seems easy enough.
