If Nurk were to get back soon, and play pretty decent ,not even stellar, i think the Blazers make the playoffs. His absence is the main reason, IMO, for the Blazers struggles. The team is just too small up front.

And then what? It feels like since Nurkic came here six years ago, he's been injured for half the time. It's just a matter of time till the next injury. You gotta move on from him. Oh and btw he regressed big time since the new contract. So you can't rely on him and he's not that good anymore. I say move on from him finally

I don't see us even making the play in. We have to pass two teams and have a pretty tough schedule remaining. 60 games is a long enough sample size to know we have no switch to flip to suddenly play elite defense even when Nurk returns.

Dame is for sure on the lifeboat the rest is TBD as far as I am concerned about the rest of this roster. Do not get me wrong I like Ant and Sharpe and a few others but to me the only true untouchable player at this point is Dame and the rest under the right trade offers are on the table as far as i am concerned and that is how a good GM should see it plain and simple.

Chauncey does what Brad Stevens did and moves from coaching to become Joe's assistant and we hire a vet coach with a winning resume who guts the staff and brings in experience. Not sure who that is but we need a much tougher minded coach in my view. Or maybe replace Rogers with Nate McMillan as the defensive coordinator...he was defensive coordinator under coach K for team USA for many years. We also need to get ownership to pay some luxury tax for real talent like the Warriors did....the Warriors will pay just under half a billion in luxury tax this year...that's some financial commitment.

I love that I predicted HCA while most everyone else expected us to be 7th-10th and I'm the only one not freaking out. Mainly because shit happens and it's out of my control lol.

Happens to most of us , including the team, i'm sure. Just got to enjoy the good moments, which there have been this year. And move on from the low as fast as possible. Go Blazers!

I think they will go into the tax next year. They just had to get out of paying the repeater tax. Just like if we convey the 1st rounder to Chicago if we make the playoffs, we will have access to using future picks. Or we could get into the Lottery, and hopefully convey the Knicks pick instead.

The next three games will be very telling... all of them are winnable, even with what we've been rolling out. If we don't win at least two of them then the rest of the season should be the team trying to set Dame up to win the scoring title while tanking at the same time. Get Dame 40+ in the first three quarters and play the youngsters for the fourth.

What I posted, IMO, would be the worst scenario possible. More nightmare than dream.
