Japan leaving a ton of runners on, giving me flashbacks to the mariners last season lol.

Mexico vs USA final would be crazy

I have no way of streaming this right now, but was listening to the radio stream, and watching the game tracker on the MLB website. Amazing!

You can watch a condensed game for sure, it was riveting. Both these teams are so fundamentally sound I feel like they're going to wax the USA.

    USA pitching is terrible.

It's weird that the USA assembled basically an all-star hitting lineup but the pitching staff is mediocre. Not the case with Japan or Mexico.....

I don't think the MLB clubs wanted their top pitchers to play.

Yep. It's lame, almost as lame as the Cuban regime disallowing players to play relating to previous defections and "saying negative things about the government", otherwise Cuba would probably kick everyone's ass.

MLB doesn't want its starters and closers to throw their arms out in the offseason...pitchers make so much money in the majors that they are treated with kid gloves as to how much they pitch...that's why world baseball doesn't get the best major league pitchers.. Great showcase for foreign talent to get MLB contracts in the future though.

What a finish! Nasty slider from Ohtani to strike out Trout.

Not only that, but most pitchers are still in spring training shape. Going on shorter rest or longer than a couple innings could jeopardize guys that are hoping to pitch hundreds over a season. I would love to see them pitch in the WBC, don't get me wrong, but I understand the decision.
