Not surprised. It would be nice if a second chance on life motivated someone to feed the hungry, visit prisoners, welcome strangers but that is so out of date. Men have been claiming the right to force themselves on women's bodies for a long time. Over sexualization of children is Republican speak for ban books and gay and trans people are so inherently evil children can't learn we exist. A bill in Florida would ban discussing menstruation in school. Those filthy female bodies! Also in the free state of Florida a social studies book now says Rosa Parks was told to move on a bus. But doesn't say why. Because it would get them in trouble to say racial discrimination.
Girls should only get their periods at home under the watchful eye of their parents or a trusted houseplant.
