Great points. I just know that they are paying for my mortgage, car payments and helping put my kids though college….. So I’m pretty cool with things staying the same.
I often peruse this board, though sometimes I choose to ignore. With the team near the bottom of rankings, the idea appears that we're "tanking". I laugh at this silly notion, as if losing is a magical potion. Without some young development it's hard for a team to get relevant. As I ponder this thought with disdain, it's the fans that can't handle the pain. So they invent a ridiculous theory, season's losing has made them all weary. To hell with this team and it's stanking, I know.....they have to be tanking! So I'll yell it from top or' the mountain, the anger, it flows like a fountain. In the end, every win is precious, and losing is never "selfless" The team I want, is a hero, if they fight till the clock reads zero. I've pondered this poem for a minute, concerned I might push all your limits. Since you've read this and lingered, You're welcomed to give me the finger.
Dumb question if Portland traded down out of lottery would Chicago get our pick? I assume not but wonder how it’s worded in the trade paperwork. Again I’m sure it doesn’t…..
No, the Blazers pick owed to Chicago is independent to the Knicks pick. If the Blazers don't make the playoffs they keep it. Blazers are free to trade either pick this summer but not both until after the draft.
this is probably saying the same thing, but the Blazer's pick is lottery protected. I was thinking that once the lottery is held, and Portland is in it, they could trade their pick. but when I look at the protections, it's 1-14 protected, so there might be a trip wire preventing a trade down on the other hand, after the lottery, if they were to trade the 7th pick for a 16th pick and two future 1st's that would seem to be legal
OKC could start a second franchise with all their draft picks, get established in that new community, then consolidate over.

Am I reading that right (I probably am not) that Detroit has almost a 50/50 chance at getting completely boned (getting the #5 spot)??? And if Portland finishes in the #5 spot, thats the least likely draft spot they'd end up in?? I'm confused (someone tell me how it works, and imagine you're talking to HCP). I do get excited when they are able to figure out what team to see show up letting us know Portland moves up, etc.
