just a quibble...he turns 27 in August so he really isn't that young by NBA standards; kind of middle age
I don't love Jaylen's game, he tends to associate with idiots (Kyrie, Kanye, etc.), and something tells me he would find plenty to complain about with Portland's culture. With that said, he's massively talented. I wonder if we could help facilitate getting him somewhere else and get a target that might be a bit better fit. I'd prefer OG and the cost would be less, but I don't see JB in Toronto.
Nurkic for Mikal Bridges. Nets can start tanking, Blazers can continue to tank. Both teams win to lose
Butler to old? Dames only one year younger so if that’s the case, who the hell would want Dame? I guess his trade value would be really low.
Oh I don’t want Luka. I don’t like the guy. I think Dame/Luka would be about as successful as Kyrie/Luka.
The time to get Mikal Bridges was by becoming the third team in the Durant trade. There is no way in hell Bridges is available now. Ben Simmons, on the other hand...
Why would BKN trade their best player for Ant and picks? They are not that bad after the KD trade. They aren't in full rebuild mode.
Somehow trade Nurkic for Ben Simmons. The Blazers would have the ultimate star studded lineup that could tank with dignity. The podcasts after wins with near triple doubles from Ben would be Earth shatteringly phenomenal.
I definitely would not want Gobert. I don’t know if MIN would want to cut their losses that early but even if they did, I’m not even willing to offer half of what they gave up to get him. KAT is eventually going to be making $60m/yr and for some reason he can’t ever stay healthy. His lowest GP year before this year was 35 games, and this year he’s surpassed it playing on 25 games.
And don't the Nets even have rights to their own pick for the next 5 years? They have zero incentive to tank and give the Rockets a top pick.
