Wow, I briefly took him off ignore to read this. Now I remember why I had him on ignore. Jesus Christ.
I can see that, although calling him "a more athletic Brandon Roy" is ridiculously high praise (or shows that we've forgotten how great Roy was). But it's true he's more athletic (although Roy could throw it down when he wanted, before his knees went, but Sharpe is another level) and it's also true that he has a sweet jumper and is currently showing that he can get to the basket pretty much at will. Maybe what separated Roy was his clutchness and ability to slow the game down to the speed he wanted. But when he was Sharpe's age he was pulling his name out of the draft having met with wide derision for putting it in in the first place.
Absolutely, far too early to put any of the mental/drive type of stuff we saw from Kobe and BRoy on Shae, but athletically, he's special. Count me in the group that hopes we hang onto him for a very long time...
3-point shooting by top 7 draft picks, and age: ========================= Paolo Banchero - 30% 20.5 years old Jabari Smith Jr. - 31% almost 20 Keegan Murray - 42% 22.5 Jaden Ivey - 34% 21 Ben Mathurin - 32 % almost 21 Shaedon Sharpe - 36.5 % almost 20
You can't be this dense. He was going to be convicted and then the girl dropped the charges because of a huge payoff and probably also because of PTSD. I'm not saying other powerful people haven't done this type of shit, I'm just saying defending Kobe on this thing is another one of your terrible terrible takes.
So what about all these other men that got wrongly convicted because some of these woman have dollar signs on their mind?
This thread is quickly becoming one I don’t even want to read anymore. I thought this was about Sharpe comps.
I would have done the same. Take the life changing amount of money and make him apologize. He admitted in the settlement that he can understand how she didn't think she consented. So he paid her $2.5 million and apologized. That's on the record. She dropped the charges so he didn't have to go to jail. I'm glad she got more out of it than just him going to jail.
Same. And all I want to do, Blazers-wise, is to discuss Shade. Maybe mods could move the Kobe beef into a new thread?
