Plus you still have access to your other picks to add another nice piece.

No rookie has proven anything, by that logic. Should we just "pass" when it's our turn?

It's less about Scoot being amazing (although he might be) than having a person to step in at the 1 and getting a younger, bigger player to put into our core in the place of Dame.

Still Pass. Enjoy the Dame ride. We all hope Shaedon is a generational talent as well. And if he is, It will make Joe's job, and Dame's desires , easier to achieve. I'm gonna live in the now, tomorrow isn't a given. Especially at 59.

Some of you dudes seem to be the type to cling to any girl who will date you, even if you know she's not wife material.

We know Dame. We love Dame. But this relationship has an expiration date and unfortunately it seems like Dame isn't wife material. Why string out a relationship that you know is doomed?

Time to cut it loose and get back out on the market. Sure, it might take you a while to find "the one" but would you rather miss out on Mrs Right just so you can be with Mrs Right now?

Dame is great wife material in this scenerio. He's hot, loyal, and brings the goods. It's the kids, and the In laws, that are destroying the relationship.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

Dame is the great wife that some want to get rid of for the potential that they can land a super model, despite nothing about their current offerings suggest a super model would want anything to do with them.

Nah man, Dame might be wife material if you don't want kids, but Dame can't give us a ring. He's barren. If you want kids, it's time to move on.

I hear you, and I'm not sure this is a trade that makes the most sense, but...

"Enjoy the Dame ride"? What is there to enjoy? I don't listen to rap music and I enjoy watching my team in the playoffs.

Yes, he's a remarkable player, and the best Blazer ever, but I don't follow the Portland Dame Lillards. The now SUCKS in terms of the Blazers and I don't see how I can enjoy what's happened the last couple of years with the potential for another "trade picks for another middling starter, get mediocre results and then shut it down" kind of season.

The ride isn't always easy. But if you hang in there, you just might get to a beautiful place.

If we land 2 overall I could be talked into a Dame for Brown and pieces trade. Our window is what 3-4 years with Dame now? I don’t trust ownership or management to pull off anything of any significance in that timeframe.

    And I love Dame.

If your basis for trading dame is the ineptness of the front office then they aren't gonna trade dame cause they sure aren't thinking they are inept.

I mean, they are. But... Lol

The leadership step down from Dame to Brown would be vast. Brown doesn't seem like a bad dude, but he tends to admire or look to leaders in the worst places (Kyrie, Kanye). I don't think a team with him as #1 is winning anything unless it has some really solid vets.
