Get judge out of the 2 hole and bay him cleanup Where he belongs like a normal team. Our analytical team sucks ass with these line ups!
And if donaldson takes another month or 2 to come back pay him off and tell him to stay on vacation. Give Peraza a shot at third and see what he’s got. It’s painfully obvious DJ is physically not an everyday player anymore
Our manager continuously has this belief that he is the smartest man in the room all the time. Gleyber is batting below the Mendoza line the last week or two and should be moved out of the cleanup spot. DJ needs a break and is thankfully getting one today. IKF should have NEVER been moved to the outfield and I believe that move is a direct correlation to his average sucking ass now. Calhoun as DH batting .158? Cordero? Seriously? On a fringe team ok, but not on a team that has its eyes set on a World Series. This franchise will never win with BaBoone and Trashman leading the way.
And the worst situational hitting team in baseball strikes again not scoring with runners 2nd and 3rd and less than 2 outs. I like volpe but the kid needs to make contact in these situations. Swings way too hard and strikes out too much!
The offense is putrid right now. But we're stuck with another start of the season with cast aways as everyday players.
Exactly. I was listening to Girardi calling the Cubs-Dodgers game yesterday. He was asked about analytics and he pointed out why a good Mgr knows when and how to play the game with a "gut-feel, instinct and manage situations with immeasurable aspects of a players daily performance that cannot be measured analytically, e.g. the intangibles, and heart of a player. Of course Joe was as well versed in Sabr-Metrics as any Mgr. Unlike the idiot BaBoone who lives and dies by a book, having little feel for the game, and knows absolutely nothing at all about pitching, and nada about hitters placement on a roster. The biggest difference between a good skipper like Joe vs a puppet like BaBoone, is Girardi knows how to play the game the right way, knowing when to throw the analytics laptop or clipboard aside or in the trash, to play with his gut, by a "learned instinct".
