What I could find is the average G league team averages just under 3000 people per game. They won't come close to the Thorns who average over 15K per game, the Winterhawks average 3250 per game from what I could find. So my guess is they will be close to that number.

Porch Pirates might be more realistic.

Can someone explain to me how teams can get players for their g league team. Can any unsigned person be signed or is there a type of draft. Also - is there a limit as to how many players can be on the team?

I think they sign whoever they want to sign....Alan Crabbe was playing in the G league 2 seasons ago and guys like Michael Beasley and Manimal...I think you can now go from high school to the G league and skip college if you want.

So the players can practice and train with the main team but quickly get game reps the same day with the G League team. Similar for coaches and staff.

It makes no sense to have them in different cities. Why do the Blazers need to build some loyal tiny minor league separate fan base in Boise?

I’d keep them in Oregon or SW Wash, but def to expand fan base, viewership, etc

just my opinion, but If I wanted to watch basketball, I’d watch the Blazers, but if I lived in say Bend or some place like that I would tend to go to the g league games

Apparently there was some legal or tax issue with doing it in Vancouver.

They were worried that the locals wouldn't appreciate the name "The Vantucky Banjos"

The Portland Fire!!! that seems to be a familiar name. What was the league they played in?

Since they're going to be playing in the St. John's area, maybe the Portland Saints?
