Kinda wild choice tho. He has been to maybe one game in Moda in 10 yrs. Thought he wanted to disconnect from the team.
Not Brandons fault that David Kahn was a shit GM or tried to screw over the Blazers, or that the NBA had stupid insurance rules. Brandon was delusion about his ability to play basketball when his time was up, as is the case for nearly every pro athlete.
Well considering everybody involved at a high level with the team when he was here is gone or died it would be odd for him to still hold a grudge.
Probably the easiest way to build back a little goodwill with the fans in the event he ever wanted to be involved in any sort of way in the future. Low stakes and he brings a little juju after drafting a #1 before.. Or maybe he used all of his good luck already.
Love me some Mr. Brandon Roy. I do not rub shoulders with top athletes and can not offer anything but anecdotal evidence, but of those I had the chance to meet - he was by far the nicest.

He sounds happy to be involved with his kids. Had an Achilles injury and back surgery to recover from the year prior. Looks a bit heavier in photos but glad to hear he seems to be doing great.
I love it. I loved Roy when he was here and I don't care that he thought he could keep playing and wanted to give it a shot. I don't care that it cost Paul Allen millions. I hope this means he'll be coming into the fold.
