With the current roster the Blazers coach is irrelevant.

There are rumors Jalen Brown likes the idea of playing for Chauncey. Supposedly Grant likes it. If Chauncey is a draw for players to force their way to the Blazers we should at least give them a year to try playing with him.

 

Pretty sure Billips received the support of the whole team and the upper crust management at the end of the season? Williams would be amazing but isn’t likely an option?

 

His name is never brought up for any other jobs, so I’d be shocked.

I've said from the beginning you got to give him 3 years. The fact that they tanked the first 2 has made me question that? I'm still backing him this year but he needs to be able to help draw some players here who want to be here as well as coach. I thought that might happen? Was hoping players would want to be here to play under him with Dame? I guess we will see what this summer brings. I'm thinking the draft pick will have some effect as well.

There are three without even talking about teams that he has ruled out completely.

 

I was talking about the current job cycle. Tons of names have been thrown out for the different jobs. Tons of interviews have been requested and granted. He hasn't been mentioned for a single one.

I am completely aware that he interviewed for those jobs previously, and teams often decided to go with unproven, inexperienced coaches instead of him.
