The 'traditional' center is definitely diminishing in value, but there's still a bunch of better players starting at C.

    1- Jokic
    2- Embiid

    3- Sabonis

    4- Davis
    5- Bam
    6- Jackson

    7- Siakam
    8- Porzingis
    9- Gobert

    10- Kessler
    11- Allen
    12- Horford

    13- Vucevic
    14- Turner
    15- Ayton
    16- Claxton

    17- Valancunas
    18- Nurk
    19- Capela
    20- Looney
    21- Poeltl
    22- Robinson

    23- Gafford
    24- Zubac
    25- Carter Jr

Most likely the best they could get. That # 3 will be even more valuable by the time the draft gets here. Scoot will be nearing MJ by the time the hype is over late June.

Simons matches Brown on his own. So it's everything else you need to add up to match Embiid

Nurk, Sharpe, Little, Knox, Keon. Close but probably need a little more. Cam Reddish could go out in a sign and trade, but then Philly would be hard capped or we need a 3rd team involved. I guess in this hypothetical Harden walked, so they'd likely be fine with hard cap and reddish making up the salary difference on an expiring.

    Dame
    Brown
    Grant
    Embiid

Yes that's a super exciting roster, probably worth mortgaging the future firsts and Shae/#3

Good list. I saw that as well, and didn't put Turner, Horford (c'mon CJ) , Gobert (completely one dimen.) , Siakam ( not a center, at all, and Nurk would back him down all day) ahead of Nurk. Nurk is in the 12 to 14 area.

I admit i just watched YouTube highlights from Scoot, but i can tell you he has that dog in him that you can't teach. Rip City would love him if he falls to 3...

Also not big on Porzingus as a center. More of a PF. If only Nurk could bring it every game.

He has it. But Dame re-wrote the book on dog. And his bite is as lethal as it's ever been.

Scoot seems to clearly be #2; I'll be shocked if Hornets pass on him.

I still really like Miller at #3.

If we are aiming to try and trade Ant and #3 to Boston - perhaps they don't mind Miller as much to fit better with Tatum/Ant. He's more NBA ready and can contribute more without the ball. He can shoot, defend, and pass.

However I'd suspect if we are aiming to trade Ant and #3 for Bridges - more likely Brooklyn (and most trade partners in general) would prefer Scoot over Miller.

Boston is unique in that they'd already have a lot of offense, and while Tatum is young they still want to win soon.

Agree to disagree but I do see your point on the contract. Just saw rumor Blazers thinking of trading 3 for Kat, personally rather have Ayton than Kat

I'm not sure they are. I still think Bridges , or Siakam bring more to the table. That contract Brown wants is too much for what you get. If he was so good defensively, why is Jimmy going off. Brown isn't good enough offensively, to warrant a super max IMO.

Thank God most of these are just fan pushed malarkey. I don't want Pouty KAT. Ayton is OK, but he sure as hell needs to get better, and he has some pout in him too. OG is a pouter as well. We want intense MF'ers. No cupcakes please.

Ok another thought I had.... if Boston is getting Brown and #3 they'd also free up some salary. Maybe they'd explore Ayton trade ideas.

Philly wouldn't care about acquiring Nurk in an Embiid trade; they'd only want young assets. Phoenix wants more depth than Ayton, Nurk and others make sense there.

Trade 1 Blazers acquire Brown - Boston acquires Ant & #3

Trade 2 Blazers acquire Embiid - 6ers acquire Nurk, Sharpe, every Blazers filler contract, 4 unprotected firsts

Trade 3 Boston acquires Ayton sends out ???
Trade 3 Phoenix acquires Nurk and backups
    Trade 3 6ers acquire ?

Not really certain exactly the pieces that would be in that last part - but there are needs from all 4 teams being met with all of these moves

If it’s Scoot then yes I would to if it’s not than I’d seriously have to consider Ayton.

On that one, me too. But, i'd rather have Siakam, or Bridges than that pick.

Plus you still have the future draft capital to add real supporting pieces. I sure would like to see Jae Crowder added as well in FA.

I still think a lot hinges on who the Hornets take.

If it's Scoot, I think Miller could still work with Dame's timeline. He reminds me of Keegan Murray. He can step in right away and contribute.

If the Hornets take Miller, I think we have a major decision to make.

    Do we:
    1. Trade the pick.
    2. Keep the pick and trade Simons.
    3. Keep the pick and trade Dame.
    4. Keep the pick and not trade any of our guards (I hate this so much.)
