Damn a lot of comments here that are making me rethink wanting to trade down…lol Yeah Scoot has an Anthony Edwards aura about him. I could see a team rallying behind this guy easily. Studying Andre Miller is something I like to hear.
hopefully, not everything about Andre. He was notorious for showing up to training camp out of shape and overweight. He was ready when the season started though
Does anyone want to end up in Charlotte? Charlotte vs Portland. Hmm. Tough choice. Edit: I am referring to the team as the destination. Not the city. Charlotte Hornets vs Portland Trail Blazers.
I love Charlotte. It's an amazing city... although it's been 10+ years since I've been there (so maybe it has changed). I used to love visiting Portland (10-12 years ago). The last 4-5 times I've been back have not been great.... It's no longer a preferred destination when I'm planning a trip.
I have no problem taking Scoot if M.S. decides he's the real deal. I see zero problem with the fact we have Dame. Scoot learns the game from a future HOFer, and as Dame ages Scoot takes over more and more of the ball handling, freeing up Dame to pick his spots and keeping him fresh. And importantly, reducing injuries. Scoot FTW!
One thing about Scoot is, he's much more plug-n-play than most guys in the draft (Maybe all of them). He can come off our bench and contribute from day one, or start if needed. Barring trades, Dame, Shae, Scoot, and Ant is a fantastic guard rotation.
If the Blazers keep the pick, and draft Scoot, i'd think they would try to trade Ant/ and a future unlocked 1st to acquire OG. They have to get a quality 2 way wing this offseason.
Wow, thank you so much for that. Conclusion: He's human, and he can be a little out of control at times.
