The drummer (? I think) for Phish also wears a dress during their concert, and isn't going to stop iirc.
I expect the law will be selectively applied in ways to make it most politically convenient to the people in power, which is to say nobody's going to arrest Phish, because it'll make for bad press. But they'll crack down on trans people and queer people who don't have the resources to defend themselves. That "in group who is protected but not bound" versus "out group who is bound but not protected" thing.
they should have included this: "oh yeah, one more thing. We kinda forgot that we are in LA, and not Florida. So fuck Marco Rubio with a rusty hammer."
I kinda wonder what it must feel like to be a useful idiot for grifters. Gosh, I wish I could ask someone what it feels like. It would be so interesting to see if they can recognize they've been duped.
I worked at Target after high school around the holidays. If some bigot would have hassled me about some mesh on swimsuits or rainbows on tshirts I would have told them to fuck right off. Go ahead and fire me. I feel for their staff, they obviously don't deserve this bullshit, but Target should have done something else. What a bunch of cowards.
In so called blue states, where LGBTQ rights are codified, there has still been a huge increase in harassment and violence especially against trans people. The results of haters don't stop at state borders.
See the cancellation of pride day at a SE Portland school because of called in threats by right wing terrorists in Portland, fomented by Lars Larson.
