I understand you think anyone who pushes back against your view of "keep his (Dame) mouth shut" must only be because one is a member of a personal fan club, but that is not the case. If you think Dame is the only player doing media interviews during the finals, you are a bit sheltered. The thought that the Nuggets/Heat might feel disrespected because he's going on podcasts is also laughable.

You are clearly reaching for reasons to be upset with him, for some unknown reason. The baseless assumptions that Dame has hurt roster building or trade negociations is unfounded. The claim the league office doesn't appreciate this, is unfounded. Please back up these claims with some facts, quotes, anything.

If you want Dame gone becuase you don't like him, then just say it, but don't make things up to create a false narrative.

    Well put.

Making a basketball/business case that paying Dame a super-max would make building a championship roster hard is one thing. We can agree or disagree to what path is the best. Trying to blame Dame's interviews for the reason better moves haven't been made or as a sign of disrepect for the Finals and the league office is fully grasping.

But you're also a founding member of the Dame Fan Club so your opinion is void!

Yeah, look at the two super stars Durant & Kyrie that were traded, and how it may end up?

He also said in that interview that every team should be required to have two old vets to help in guidance of youngsters.

I thought that idea was totally bizarre.

It's one thing to say there is value of having vets on your team, but for the commish to require every team have two really old vets who don't play (he used Haslem as the example), doesn't make much sense to me.

FWIW, CJ said if he was a betting man, he thinks Dame will not be here come next season.

Not really. Look at Jeff Green in Denver. Older & wiser. But can still shoot the corner 3 with best of them. He adds a lot to their bench. He mentioned Haslem, but i think he was also taking about guys like K Love & Jeff Green. The Blazers could use a guy like that, who can still play as well, to help with the youngsters.

You think every team in the league should be required to have two guys near the age of 40 on their roster who don't play?

I'm not saying there isn't value to it for some teams. What Dame said is that it should be a league mandiated rule. You don't think that is bizarre?

The real quote should be "This isn't Dame telling me these types of things...."

I'm just waiting for Big Q to come in and start trashing CJ for undermining Portland's leverage

How dare ESPN sabotage their own NBA Finals ratings by talking about Dame on a morning show. Had Lillard just kept his mouth shut, the LIV would've never had leverage over the PGA tour.

And now Dame is naming teams he would like to go to because they have his 'dogs' on the team and that they would be able to make the trade and still have a legit team left over after the outgoing assets.

Normally, this is media generated stuff, but this is Dame naming teams and his best bud CJ making comments.

Screamin' A hates him some Portland. Man! Screamin' A better tell Uncle Phil & that LA Real Estate Dude to not buy, or have anything to do with the Blazers. According to SAS , it's a losing proposition. Basketball Purgatory he says. NO Free Agents are going to come to Portland. Same shit, different day from Screamin' A. C J got his wine country plug in though. Hilarious. I agree with Chris Russo. Let Dame stay if he wants.

CJ should have just said " I don't know; nobody knows."
Why feed the gossip machine CJ?

I don't believe Dame named teams in the clip you quoted. In fact, Dame was not even in the clip you quoted.

In the previous boxing YouTube podcast video a specific question was asked about which team he would prefer to go to between Miami, Brooklyn, and Boston I believe.
