?

What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

He mentioned Toronto, then specifically didn’t mention the red shot and black team

Yeah, I figured that was the lane you want. I am not ready for that unless we are forced into it, for the very point you mentioned..... the last two years have sucked and another 5 years of it is not what I want to experience. As for the two All-NBA-type players...we would be close to that if we added Siakam. Yes, the Lakers got swept in the conference finals which shows you how mediocre the West is right now. Moving up is not as difficult as it usually is.

I don't get the Siakam hate. He is the exact player we could use. His contract is way better than some other names like Towns and Gobert. His age doesn't concern me at all. He isn't that old (comparatively). His rebounding is very much needed on our team! The ONLY concern I will give people is the ability he isn't here long-term (which is no joke but we can't worry about that or you never take on any player). If we can't get him then I keep the 3rd pick unless Brooklynn gets desperate and throws not only in Bridges but also Claxton.

Warriors are trying to shop Kuminga for a pick.

I can't believe the love for unproven talent. I get when your a Houston and have gone all in on that, because your All Star forced his way out. Now supposedly, that same All Star wants back in. I guess the B.S. about Fertitties Politics doesn't matter anymore . Olshey didn't even try to put a team around Dame. He stole Paul's money. He was a snake oil salesman. I'm giving Cronin the benefit of the doubt. He's put his plan into place, and it's lined up to hopefully start yielding a big return.

To me, it would be criminal not to try to add a second All NBA talent next to Dame to see what could happen. There's plenty of time to rebuild totally later after Dame retires. Plus if Sharpe does live up to the promise, that will make the transition even easier to remaining competitive. I'm tired of this narrative, that if the Blazers don't draft Scoot or Miller, and they use future draft capital to improve the team now , the Blazers franchise will get set back for eons .

It's not Hate for Siakam it's this simple and i wish for the love of god fans would get this --

He has the same weaknesses as Grant and in most ways is like Grant so why would you want another player who as similar and would not help the Blazers current issues ala lack of defense , rebounding and such. This is the thinking or lack thereof that prevents the Blazers from getting better. I hope this clears it up and if not then not sure what else I can say to convince you just know your wrong and that is a fact at least about Siakam.

Seems like a really dumb move if true. He did effectively request a trade after the season though.

I agree. The draft is still a crap shoot. On the court and off the court. We just don't know their work ethic at this point. They all need to get better. Which ones will is still an educated guess. If you can get quality in a trade then you take it. If teams try to take advantage, then you keep the pick.

Siakam is considered one of the best defenders in the league at the PF position. Siakam's game didn't go in the tank.

    24 pts & almost 8 rebounds per. That's not a rebounding problem.

What is a fact? I am not seeing them in your response. The majority of what you typed is the opposite of what is true. Pascal is very good at defense and rebounding.

The problem with this is most people do not think they are similar at all. Not in the slightest. One plays defense like he weighs 230 lbs and the other plays like he is 210 lbs. One is an all-NBA player for a reason and the other is not....for a reason. One can create his own shot extremely well in traffic, while the other can spread the floor extremely well

The one similarity I see is they both have a 7'3" wing span.

And i agree. But i just don't see Cronin as a dodo, like pansy ass Hair Do. Hollywood wouldn't engage , unless it was to over trade picks for mediocre player returns. I'm loving all the hype for these dudes. It should give the Blazer a "HAUL" in return.

I'm just sick of the lack of respect , and belittling of Dame's impact as a Blazer. Whether it be in here, or on the Radio. But many are jizzing over these unproven dudes.

It's OK to admit you know nothing about Siakam. He's a much much much better player than Grant in pretty much everything except spot up shooting.

He has also actually had experience being the 2nd best player on a championship team.

Middleton is an All Star. Not a “role player.”

Draymond was an All Star. They're both role players. The only reason they made it is because they played next to Giannis and Steph and won.

I still believe in Simmons. He played well during Nets’ 18-2 stretch last season. He’s still very young and has tools most players don’t. He just needs a stable environment and a specific role.
