So now all of the head coaching positions in the league are filled. It's time for the Blazers to blitz Bud. Give him the richest deal for a lead assistant in league history. He would be here to help Chauncey with a new roster that is expected to win and if Chauncey can't get that done he would be here to replace Chauncey.

Bud's probably happy to take a year off to rest.

Interested to see what VanVleet gets as a FA. Not sure what his true height is (My guess is 5'11) but his wing span is only 6'2 ....and he is not athletic enough to make up for it. None-the- less he can be a very good backup, but should he have opted out of 23 mil?

I think he should have taken that. I don't see a huge market for him. How many teams would want him?

Yep, a lot of teams would want him, just not at that amount. He is good though....but I still think he is a backup.

he wants a longer 4-5 year deal. Guaranteed money. Never know when a major injury is going to monkey-wrench the future

Yes I was thinking that also. He can get 14-16 million for 4 years. Turns 23 million to 60 million.

Sure but he could get his 23 million and then get 14-16 for 4 years. Has he had many injuries?

My bet is his agent is advising him to get the 4-5 year deal now.

My bet is that his agent already knows there is a contract out there from some team that maybe doesn't get him 23M next season but starts close to that and is a lot longer. I don't see FVV taking a big pay cut from the 23M and I would bet they know he can get a lot more years.

I do wonder if him opting out would make it any more likely that they would move on from Siakam and try to go younger with OG and Barnes as their forwards and maybe not even re-sign Poeltle but draft a big.

I don't think they want Trent Jr back either. So Ant and Scoot might look pretty good if he falls to us.

So it would have to be Ant and Nas or Ant, Keon and Knox... I do not think Siakam is worth Ant and Scoot. I think he is worth Scoot. So we would need, I guess pick 13 coming back with Siakam.

3 billion for the Charlotte Hornets!?!

The price that Uncle Phil will now have to pay just went up a TON.

That's for 80% of the Hornets so the valuation is 3.75B.

My guess is the 3 billion evaluation wording means he got 80% of 3 billion.

The Wizards have granted Bradley Beal permission to talk with other teams regarding a potential trade. Beal is the only player in the NBA with a full no-trade clause.
