  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

They say they do have connections and that's what they're hearing.

I will not be surprised if we keep our pick at 3. Due that we not going give up the 3 pick if we not going get a close to a star player and teams is just not going give up a star player for a player that's haven't play minute in the league. Remember the draft is a crap shoot your hopefully you guess right on player. I think our 23 pick might be in play to gain a quality player for us next year. I believe that's what we need is quality because not one player going to come in a make this team a contender. That player might help us to get in playoffs contention but that's it until we address our bench with quality players we will continue to struggle.

I agree, there are probably better athletes. But at 6'9" he's pretty athletic. He's young but I see him like a Porter on the Nuggs and he's not as athletic as Will the Trill was at the same position.

If we take him, I hope he is way better than Porter Jr. I would not be satisfied with that.

For sure, one thing we know is he doesn't have a bad back. Porter they say if he hadn't had that injury could have been a top 5 pick.

I don't think this is a hot take but I feel like trading pick 3 for Siakam would be riskier than trading it for Zion. The biggest reason is that Siakam could leave for nothing at the end of next season and unlike Jeremi there is no report out there that Siakam is asking to be traded here to play with Dame. Then there is the fact that when playing Siakam isn't the impact player that Zion is. Maybe I would take the gamble by trading for Siakam if that was the only impact trade available but I'd feel a lot better about trading the pick for Zion or for Bridges and Claxton or even for Franz and 6.

It doesn’t call him the best athlete.

says he has the best jumper.

I get what you're saying. That #3 is being discussed for a haul. Not just one player, even if it's Zion. The pick is going up in price every minute. That's a good thing. I do think Siakam is a fantastic player, All NBA talent and one of the best defenders at the PF position. But there would have to be an agreement made on an extension. The Blazers can gamble with the #23 pick on a player with one year remaining, but not the #3.

Does Dame play winning basketball? Beal’s been out of the first round as much as Dame has, I think.

Oden never played as well as Zion has. No comparison.

I agree with your post completely. Unfortunately, I think the part that I bolded is probably the case. Not sure Siakam is available either, but my guess is it is the most likely of the ones listed.

Concern? I'd be happy to get lillard to a real contender (except for the lakers) to see him get a ring while we rebuild. I just don't see how we can build a true contender in Portland with his contract and the upcoming tax changes.

Agree… other than Zion if healthy, no other player we can realistically acquire will change our fortunes with such a short window with Dame being 33 years old.

Were you happy when Clyde got traded to Houston? I wasn't. And people complain about this management. What about the hoser who traded Clyde for a freakin' Yugo ( washed up Otis Thorpe). And were you happy when Clyde won a championship in Houston. I was happy for him, for a millisecond, then i was like "meh" . It's Houston. Shoulda been Portland if we had competent management.

Then we didn't get good again till Trader Bob put his merry band of mercenaries together. The only draft picks i remember on that team were a lumbering Sabonis (half of what he was in his prime in Russia), and Jermaine O'Neal. Who later got traded for another beat up Chevy Chevette in Dale Davis. Imagine if Blazers management had traded for Charles Barkley to add to Clyde. Told Clyde, " we're gonna go get guys" for you. Nope we're rebuilding. Woo Hoo.

Not going after "REAL" players to put around Dame would be repeating history all over again. Big Pass Dog.
