Don't assume trade isn't the same as there won't be a trade. Blazers playing it close.
    We will see...

I need to watch more prosper. Didn't like my initial look at him.

Cool to see a fellow Castleton fan. Uniquely fluid and skilled for his size. A lot of Brook Lopez in his game and movement patterns.

This is not what I want to happen, just my predictions. Based on track record, they will go upside with the first rounders, and readiness with the second rounder. There's a number of players that could be there at 43 that they like, I just chose one. If Sheppard is there, I think they take him, but I don't see him lasting until 43.

Fwiw—I think Amen could very well be picked over Miller with our pick.

Nope, that #3 is worth a lot. Whispers of multiple players coming.

Mike Schmitz Big Board: #1 Victor Wembanyama #2 Scoot Henderson #3 Amen Thompson.

"Think about who the Trail Blazers drafted last year in Shaedon Sharpe. Very athletic, unproven kid who hadn't played in any college basketball. And yet, Mike Schmitz was very high on him." " I think Mike Schmitz' relationship with Amen Thompson, he's done film studies with him, he's been up close and personal and watched him a ton in person. I think Amen Thompson is a high priority for Portland, drafting athletic, freakish guards with size. Yes, it's only been one season. Still an important note in this entire process." "Mike Schmitz has much less of a relationship with Brandon Miller, who was brought in very late in the process."

"They are not looking to trade the #3 pick anymore at this point."

cued up to where he talks about the Trail Blazers.

If we draft a guard, it needs to be a home run.

Blazers will trade the #3 for Zion, then trade Zion to the Spurs for Wembanyama.

Amen Thompson has a lower release than Miller. Not that it makes a big diff?

I like that! Catch them off guard and the Spurs hit the Zion button!

The people that are high on Amen see him as a "generational" combination of size and athleticism. Imagine if Russell Westbrook were 6'7".

He'd probably be a worse shooter than he is now, but he could stuff the stat sheet.

There's the defense, too. Supporters see a very high potential for Amen to be a very good point-0f-attack defender of positions 1-3. Something every team needs, definitely a need of the Trail Blazers.
Remember that's why Cronin got Payton II. And both Payton and Hart are now gone.
