I don't want to see a team with Beal/Booker/Durant, especially in the west.

OK roll the dice with those players and keep Dame.
Or if you get me a package for Dame that includes an up-and-coming big (named Evan Mobley) and I am all in.
I just don't want a bunch of matching salaries and picks that will not be in the lottery.

Agree… I’d rather keep both. I’m only referring to if Dame demands a trade.

The same conference as the Wiz, but a better possible return IMO. I think this happens.

I'd be happy for Beal. He's a great talent, but he ain't Dame Good. Getting Herro, Caleb Martin, Victor Oladipo and a couple future end of 1st rounders isn't terrible for Beal.

Only Herro & Martin are potential keepers. Victor's had a ton of hard luck since that awful quad injury. He's on an expiring deal.

Beal and Booker play the exact same position. Who is coming off the bench?

How many games will Beal and Durant miss?

One of them would be playing at PG or SF. They'd figure it out. You don't play either of them off the bench.

I just listened to the latest Zach Lowe podcast (Thu) Givony, Bobby Marks and him talking NBA Finals, draft, trades. Regarding the Blazers, they all say Dame is too knowledgeable to not be ok if the Blazers use the pick to draft a player to keep if no earth-shattering offers were on the table.

I think, If Hornets take Scoot, we take Miller and keep him.

If Hornets take Miller, we trade the pick to the highest bidder. There are plenty of suitors for Scoot.

If the deals for #3 is underwhelming, we don't take Scoot and take Amen instead.

If we use the 3rd pick to draft and keep a player, we will use Ant/Nurk/Nas/Keon/23/2nds/Future draft capital/Cash considerations/etc to add all-star caliber player/s

    For example:

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Grant
    Porzingis/Siakam
    Lopez Brook
    --
    Miller/Amen
    Thybulle
    ??

Booker has played PG, and been quite effective.

    It's apparently

Ayton + Salary Fillers or CP3 + Shamet

    OR

Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and multiple firsts

I've read that the Wizards don't have interest in Ayton and are weighing the 190M in salary savings with a Beal for CP3 swap

    vs

100M in eventual salary savings in a Miami trade with the shot at a 1st round pick (18th pick Thursday)

I'd agree. Seems like somebody is throwing out the 30M number in a vacuum. Hard for me to see any team willing to pay that much for him

my first thought was that tweet was FVV's agent doing some work inflating his client's value

of course, every time I think the NBA won't sign some free agent to a stupid contract...some team agrees to that stupid contract

My favorite was “his salary is going to match his FG%” :biglaugh:
