    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

So that would mean Scoot could not be ruled out for CHA.

I don’t think so. They’ll take him because he’s BPA.

Not to nitpick on strip clubs, but like most things in life, it is quality over quantity.

Also because they can't trade for Zion until the following week...

Having Scoot and Dame makes no sense at all, it's a misappropriation of assets. I wouldn't put that past our front office but I see the report of us picking and keeping Scoot as more likely either us trying to squeeze NOLA a little or us trying to keep as much leverage as possible while trying to move Dame. I guess we'll see. Dame was so vague with his answer that the team should just do what's best for the team and that he didn't want to be involved and that's the kind of about face from saying that he wants vets now and no more young guys, that I think it points sadly towards an end to our time with Dame but who the fuck really knows.

More may be cleared up on Thursday... or we might be left in limbo for a little longer.

I think if we pick Scoot, Dame is gone. I think he calls up Joe and says, "please trade me."

I thought a case could be made if it was Miller that we could sell Dame on plugging him into the starting lineup. But Scoot..... I just don't see it.

Oh they can call in any trade on draft day that needs to be completed on the new league year that's been the case for years. On draft day and basically after the end of the season the league gives the teams a choice when they call in a trade to use next season's cap numbers or the current cap numbers. So we could definitely make the trade and it would be reported. Our GM would have to do the whole song and dance of us discussing it next week when we can and everything but that how it's been done a bunch of times before.

Again I honestly think the report that we're taking and keeping Scoot is most likely one of two things. A sign that we will trade Dame and youth rebuild or just us squeezing the teams we're in trade negotiations with regarding Scoot. There is the slimmest of possibilities that we are rolling with Dame and Scoot and Dame is cool with us using the best asset the team has had during his time here to draft a player who is young which he said he didn't want and plays his position but again I think that is a very very small chance.

Yeah I just think there is no way that works and either there is a trade and we're still jockeying for position in that trade thus this latest "we're picking and keeping Scoot" shit or we're trying to keep leverage in any Dame trade situations. I think things will be clearer tomorrow night but they might take a little longer than that to play out. More waiting for us fans in the mean time.

If I'm Joe, I'm going to have a candid conversation with Dame.

"We tried. We aren't getting good offers. I know that's not what you want to hear. It's not in the best interest of this team to ship off Simons and the 3rd for KAT or Siakam. We would love to have you stay and continue to try to build, but we understand if you want out."

Or it could be even worse. Teams might be demanding Sharpe. I have a feeling that's what Toronto is doing. That ass probably wants Simons/Sharpe/3 for Siakam.

Feel free to decline answering, but which city has the best male strip clubs to the best of your knowledge?

Still pulling for that Zion trade though and still think it makes a lot of sense for the team as far as marketing and competition go. I think season ticket holders would be cautiously very excited about the Dame/Zion pairing especially if the supporting cast had some new names too. That being said, Joe's history has been to punt every time and while he's been saying he wants to keep Dame and build around him all of his actions besides Jerami have strongly indicated a youth rebuild.

Nate again we do not agree on much but that was my thought too -- It's not that I do not like Scoot but Scoot along side of Dame just makes no sense and even to make it work we have to rely on Cronin to totally reshape the roster to try to make it work. I still think in the end trade wise it comes down to 2 players - -Brown and Zion and I think now that it looks like Scoot will be there it might be easier to talk to Boston and maybe the Pels about such a deal. I think before trying to get Brown or Zion without knowing Scoot would be there was just too hard . I really believe by Noon tomorrow we will have a pretty good idea what's happening with pick 3 -- I think trade chatter by then will pick up and either the Blazers will say ENOUGH of these crap ass offers and say were keeping the pick or teams will finally start being real and something gets done before the draft starts even if not officially announced.

If I were to bet on it RIGHT now knowing nothing more my gut tells me this or could be heartburn too

Blazers ..... Trade the 3rd pick for either Brown or Zion -- I do think we might hear the Blazers make one final offer to the Net's but will get turned down fact is I think we might hear something like that before end of tonight.

    Pascal Siakam
Speaking of All-Stars, Siakam was heavily discussed with the Blazers in talks for the No.3 pick.

Yahoo’s Jake Fischer reported Tuesday that the Blazers were not interested in either Siakam or OG Anunoby.

Some further context on that is interesting, however. Before I share that, a reminder that everyone is constantly spinning this time of year, and the truth is often a little obscured if not caked completely in mud.

With that said, there are two competing narratives on the talks. Portland has projected that they were unsure about paying Siakam a new max contract. League sources, on the other hand, have suggested that Siakam was unwilling to provide assurances he would re-sign next summer.

Regardless, with the Blazers off the table, there have been no other serious talks with the Raptors (that I’ve heard about, I’m sure there have been some). There’s a belief that the Raptors will run it back yet again. Those things can change quickly, but that’s where I believe we’re at right now.

I agree. Tying 120M to Dame, Siakam and Grant is a recipe for disaster.

If he won't commit to re-signing, there's no way we can trade for him. Definitely not the 3rd pick.

Yeah Dame/Scoot makes the least sense of all of the bad "less than the sum of their parts" back courts that we've rolled out since Wes left. I don't see that happening. Dame's latest quote being so vague, "They should do what's best for the team." Either tells me that Dame is done with the team or the team told him they were in some high stakes negotiations and he needs to tone down the rhetoric for the next day and a half. Just wait and see but my gut is telling me the same thing yours is. I just see it as being way way more likely that it's Zion. I'd love Jaylen but I think the Celtics will keep him now that they can offer him way way more money than any other team can.

To me all that this really says is what I've felt for a while, which is due to his contract situation and having to deal with Masai, Siakam was never a viable option.

Oh I'm more than well aware of this -- I haven't missed a draft in over 30 years. I was being more flippant about the process by which, technically, we'll have to "draft" him, have him announced as being a Blazer, put the hat on, etc. so, technically, folks could say, "well we DID draft him"... more of a tongue in cheek thing
