One way or the other, it seems like Zion is done in New Orleans. They fired his favorite coach. There are multiple reports that he could be available. I'm not sure how they would walk this back if they don't trade him.

Nothing great. I don't think Pornhub's algorithm is rocking with that phrase in it's data base.

What if Scoot purposely screw up his 2nd visit with Charlotte because he wanted to be a Blazer?

Re. Zion... I think Dusty pointed out yesterday that he and Reddish were college teammates.

I know everyone's concerned about how grounded he is right now, but for what he could be, I just think we might have enough of the right structure in place to get at least mostly goodness out of him:

Dame's leadership, college teammate, Nike in our back yard, the ability to tell his entourage to fuck off, him having a chip on his shoulder that he wasn't even worth the 3rd pick and that *his* team dumped him...

Outside of Embiid or Giannis, there aren't many realistic paths to a championship window on Dame's timeline. Getting MVP-level Zion for cheap is one of very few...

I would like to take everything back I’ve said about Brandon Miller after seeing these shenanigans:

I think if the team has already told Dame they're taking the best youth and that's why his answer is they should do what's best for them. Then he's already talked to Jerami and told him. Jerami will talk to the team and try to find the best contract that he can that we can facilitate for him through S&T. No more Jerami problem. Or Dame is being aloof because a big deal is going down and he's been told to keep his head down.

I agree that Dame needs to tone down the rhetoric, and actually should have as soon as the season ended. That said, Dame said "they" when addressing what the team should do. Not "us" or "we." Is it just semantics? Is it a subtle distancing from the Blazers? It just stood out to me.

Zion hit 37% from last season. Basically the same as Dame.

I like Scoot but that means we are drafting a Bench player number 3 overall if we are keeping Dame. Still need a wing and center.

Yeah, if there aren't solid reports tomorrow night that it's Scoot for Zion and Silver announces we're picking Scoot I would say the Dame rumor mill kicks up like we've never seen it before but because of what they have... I think Brooklyn seems like the only logical place that we will send him and get a good return.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Zion but starting to get a little sad with the possibilities that Dame will not play his entire career for our team creeping up.

on the other hand, it could mean the Blazers like Scoot a lot, are ecstatic they have a chance to get him after luckily moving up to 3rd in a 3-person draft instead of falling to 7, are adhering to the take BPA rule (which so many of you insist is a hard-and-fast rule), and will worry about potential fit issues with Dame later, if they are even worried about them at all

if Scoot is as good, and as ready, with the near-term upside as so many of his big advocates say, taking him is a no-brainer. For sure, the Dame/Cj and Dame/Ant pairings have for the most part failed. But the main reason for that failure wasn't size as much as it was one half of the equation having tier-3 or tier-4 talent. Scoot might actually have enough talent to change that equation

I'm not saying Dame won't ask out, but I am saying it's not nearly as likely, even after adding Scoot, as so many of you have assumed

I will say this though: Dame-Ant-Sharpe-Scoot is just too fucking awkward and it's obvious to me which one needs to be leaving...and it isn't Dame. (and no, Sharpe is not a SF)

I just think there is no way that is happening. If we're drafting Scoot to keep him we're already talking to teams about a Dame trade that completes on July 10th.
