?

What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

Good question but I would have to go with the younger player. Longer term upside with Wemby. Still pissed that the Spurs once again thru tanking get a great center prospect.

Because of name not because of games. Thats not a valid argument to what I said lmao. His name got him into the all star games which is halfway through a season.

He's just an actual better playable Greg Oden who you can never rely on just like Greg Oden.

Unless you have 9 or 10 all star apperances all stars mean nothing but you had a good first half.

We'd regret getting Zion UNLESS he magicially changes all his ways. Otherwise, our future is fucked, so i'd rather be smart and not have Zion.

A 6'2" PG to back up Lillard "can absolutely work"? How is that different from CJ/Ant? Nothing I've read exactly refers to him as a lock-down defender. He sounds like a great prospect but the fit doesn't feel right at all. Hoping we're more inclined to trading the pick than we're letting on.

The things you just listed off, are all crimes… you know, things that are illegal & could (read: probably should) land one’s ass in jail. Zion having drama in his PERSONAL SEX LIFE does not fall under that category.

I don’t really care for the idea of trading for him, personally, but NOT because of whom he’s having sex with.

I am not talking about starting him at SG. I am talking about a 3 guard lineup...so no we would not be doing it for the 8th straight year. Sharpe starts at SG.
I know some of you have an issue with not starting someone we get at #3 but I find that ridiculous. Minutes will be available.

Reports are that both Portland and Charlotte measured him as just under 6’4 in shoes.

6’4 with a 6’9 wingspan is not really undersized for either guard spot.

Are CJ and Ant built like him? As athletic as him? Like I said at 200lbs and with long arms and athletic.....it won't be his size that prevents him from being able to defend. Defense is only half the game. On offense can they stay up with him?

Fine. What if a player has a drinking problem? What if he is addicted to painkillers? What if he is bi-polar, or suffers from chronic depression? All of those things are personal and non-criminal, yet they factor into decisions made by NBA general managers all the time, as they should.

Shape starts at SG next year. He is not undersized.

The scenario being discussed is starting Dame, Scoot and Shaedon... I'm not even saying as far as length goes that Shae is undersized for SF... I'm saying his most effective position is SG and we would be playing him and Scoot a position up and that is something we have done and failed with too many fucking times to do it again.

Can't start all 3 if you are wanting to win.

So if we're in win now mode why would we have one of our three most valuable players in terms of trade value (Dame, Scoot and Shae) sitting them bench when we have glaring holes in the starting lineup?

Yeah, I love this report. It makes me feel like there's a really good chance that the reports of us wanting to draft and keep Scoot are just to try and get a better deal surrounding Scoot for Zion. I still honestly believe this is what will ultimately happen tomorrow. Call it wishful thinking but it makes sense for both sides. I'm just going to post this incredibly redundant trade idea again because I think it makes a lot of sense and a little twist.

I think the best option is to route Zion's fat ass to Houston and get back #4 and all of Brooklyn's future picks. We could then draft Amen (to keep or ship to Brooklyn) and/or trade Ant to Orlando for #11, and either use #11 or route that somewhere for a vet (Derozan)?

Hopefully #4, multiple future Brooklyn picks, and #11 would be more than enough to get some solid vets (maybe Bridges and Derozan).

Also, Zion/Ime/Harden would love hanging together at the strip clubs in Houston.

I will say this the fact the Blazers have shut down all Dame trade offers tells me that maybe some deal is being discussed / semi close and after the rumor I saw with Celts Wiz and Clips I know where I am leaning.

I think right now it's setting up perfectly for a PDX /Bos trade that gets Brown as a Blazer but I would not rule out Zion either and I am hoping there is now a bidding war between the Celts and Pels for that 3rd pick.
