?

What are you hoping for with this pick?

  1. Draft Scoot and keep him

    27.6%
  2. Draft Miller and keep him

    28.6%
  3. Draft someone else at 3 and keep him (please specify)

    3.1%
  4. Trade down, but still draft in the lottery

    10.2%
  5. Trade the pick for a starting forward

    30.6%

Any indication that this could just be CHA getting back into a Blazers pick trade to maximize the value at 2? I always thought it was weird that it was seemingly so confirmative that early...

I’m perfectly fine with keeping the pick today. Depending on who we pick I would still like to see roster balance on positions with trading Ant and possibly Nurk. I’d also like to see the Chicago trade be finalized by either trading them a late first rounder, player or a few of our 2nd rounders which with new CBA should hold some value

My thinking is there was more to it. That is why they said no.

This is where I am too.

If we get a great offer to trade the pick, great.
If we get and hang onto Scoop, great.
If we get and hang onto Miller, great.

Make moves to improve the team without grossly jeopardizing the future. If we can do enough to keep Dame engaged, great. If not, we'll deal with years of past sins when necessary...

Unlikely....because they didn't want to give up what it would take to move all the risk involved with Zion. If he plays, he is amazing. Big IF so far.

What percentage of draft day reports (leaks) turn out to be accurate? 10%? 30%?

    Certainly isn't a majority.

Unlikely -- what the hell does that even mean in terms of a percentage cause it's not saying that the Pels have shut down Zion talks just not looking like he will be traded at this point. The same could be said about Dame but at any minute aka his trade request that could change. Also RealGM as a source -- really ? -- we that desperate for news we cling to lower tier NBA sites for info.

Smokescreen season... You must ask 3 questions when reading every rumor:

Who is making the report, who are they connected with, and why would that person want the report out?

Yup, they read/hear one report out of Fat Boy Windhort’s pie hole & treat it as gospel. Like, MFer… you KNOW his job is to generate clicks, RIGHT!? Anyone taking ANYTHING out of these guys’ mouths seriously right now… ummm… well, I might have a bridge for sale! You interested!?

The Clippers were known to be gauging the trade value for PG and Kawai.....and suddenly it becomes we offered #3 for him. Hell, they were even discussing #3, SS, and Ant on the radio. These rumors are laughable.

If this draft is filled with smoke and Woj is wrong again, leading to Scoot going #2, I could see Miller falling from the #3. His workout footage did not look impressive (yes, I know he had mono and a groin injury probably isn't going to 100% heal even within 4-6 months) but his interview about Paul George being the GOAT was questionable, too. And it's not like the question framed it as between PG13 and a SG like MJ. It was between PG13 and Lebron.

And Givony stated on Zach Lowe's podcast that Miller's draft interviews didn't go so well (Givony being close to Schmitz would suggest to me that Blazers likely weren't impressed...maybe with the gun situation being a factor).

    Interesting to see.
