Quality basketball player, ready to play now. Scoot same thing. Maybe not the sexiest pick, but look at his brother..Kris will be a good pro.
He's a wing. That's good size for a wing but he's not going to be playing defense in the post very often and he'll probably outpace Grant's rebounding numbers but that's more of an indictment of Grant than a compliment to Murray .
We took big swings at #3 and last year #7. This late in the draft all you need are players who can be in an 8 man rotation and the picks will be a huge success.
Rumor is they were shopping this pick for veterans. Guess they couldn’t find one so they picked someone that can seemingly contribute right away.
I don't agree as a general proposition. That's how you get Dante Cunningham and Jeff Pendergraph in the same draft (upperclassmen who never showed hope of being starting-level NBA guys) ... in this case, though, given (as you noted) we'd already gone young with an earlier pick, going safer makes more sense. Hopefully we go for upside at #43.
Actually, Scoot had one of the worst defensive ratings in all of the g-league at 122. Kris Murray's defensive rating is a respectable 105.7. Nothing to write home about.
Keegan is better and *way* more athletic, which is saying a lot, because Keegan isn’t exactly a stellar athlete
