I get bad vibes, too. I’d love for him to prove me and all doubters wrong, though. He seems arrogant and his numbers don’t stack up to his hype. If this is the pivotal point where we move on from Dame, he has some gigantic shoes to fill.
Wait what???? You think Scoot is arrogant? I get the complete opposite. The kid seems very genuine and friendly. I think he's confident but I don't get arrogant at all.
"It's hard to be humble when you're as GREAT as I am." - Scoot "If I tell you I'm good, probably you will say I'm boasting. But if I tell you I'm not good, you'll know I'm lying." - Scoot
You have to be arrogant to get to that level. Sharpe said he'll go down as the greatest after the draft.
Would you prefer the more-quiet Miller whose poor judgment led him to be involved in a murder? I am VERY glad the Blazers don't have to deal with that can of worms.
Maybe it's just me, but if I'm Scoot I don't want a number that's at all related to Dame. I know that I'm probably the heir apparent and I want something different.
I’m just saying that there are a lot of people talking about him being the PG for the next decade. Hasn’t played a game yet and he supposedly can’t shoot from deep. These things along with his personality are a change of pace from what we’ve been used to with someone 99% of us have loved.
Scoot pushes the pace, attacks the basket with ferocity, and keeps his options open pass/shoot/attack and is an excellent passer. That is something Blazer fans aren't used to.
It's not a strawman. Unless hype is only a negative for point guards. I would say, hype is usually more of a problem for bigger players, because their skill set/basketball IQ or lack of it.
