I don't really care about the two picks in the 20's Thursday. It makes it look more Wow! than it is, without it being anywhere close to Wow! If Portland does this trade, the payoff is years from now. Leave those two picks in Brooklyn and instead squeeze at least one more future first out of the trade, maybe two

and not crazy about the philly pick...it might not even convey. What I'd 'demand' would be:

    2025 - Phoenix first
2027 - Best of Phoenix and Philly firsts
    2028 - Brooklyn first
2029 - best of Dallas and Brooklyn first's

I even might be willing to leave Brooklyn the 2025 Phoenix first in favor of the 2030 Brooklyn first. And no protections on those picks. Although, waiting 4 years for the first Dame-trade pick would be a long time. Maybe squeeze a swap in there somewhere

What likely happens next is that Dame demands a trade. If it were Miller that fell to us it would be one thing but we had a point guard fall to us and couldn't cash in his value for help now player(s) at positions of need. If Dame doesn't demand a trade like right now and we don't see a major trade in the next week and a half since (that is the window Joe said was available in which a lot of movement can happen) then I see Dame moving.

The blow up will now be simple. Our players under contract are Dame (32 gone), Ant (24 not sure), Nurk (28 gone), Shae (20), Nas (23), Knox (23), Keon (21), Trendon (23), Jabari (20), Scoot (19 rookie rights), Kris (23 rookie rights) and Rayan (19 rookie rights). If Dame and Nurk were gone it would be 10 players with rights or under contract. Trade Dame and Nurk, expect three players back and one or two free agents or one free agent if Ant gets traded for two players that add up to at least 19.3M. Dame and Nurk go for Clowney, Dariq, DeAnre Ayton and picks then we're at 13 players and still have maybe one or two players from moving Ant or Ant is still here and we get one player with the TPMLE. That's 15 players.

Scoot, Shaedon, Nas, Kris, Ayton, Ant, Rayan, Knox, Keon, Trendon, Jabari, Clowney, Dariq and TPMLE and another guy if we trade Ant for two guys or an undrafted free agent. The TPMLE or return for Ant should start in place of Nas and push Nas to the bench unit.

There's your fucking blow it up and rebuild.

Canzano is still around? I thought he quit sports?
Oh well, I've always felt kinda sorry for him. The poor bastard fell asleep and his cat licked all his hair off.

    Pivoting now

    Core

    Scoot
    Sharpe
    Rupert
    Murray
    Walker?

Try to sign and trade Grant. If not, let him leave

Trade Ant and Nurk either together or separately for young size (WCJ, one of the Detroit centers, etc)

Trade Dame to Miami, Brooklyn, etc. Neither has a great package for Dame, so tell them who we want on another team and make it their responsibility to get him for us along with their own teams young players and picks
