maybe, they didnt trade for collins to keep him, you dont rebuild around 25 yo, they will trade markkanen sooner or later

the only question is whether they keep collins for a year or two to build up his value

if they do, its only to build up his value

both collins & markkanen are gone sooner or later, you simply dont rebuild around 25 & 26 yo

and when they traded mitchell & gobert, that was a clear sign that theyre rebuildning, not retooling

all these "If he leaves, he leaves " Cats in here deal in the absolutes that Sharpe & Scoot will be All World. Might be. but might not.

And there is no guaranty either will hang around to see it through. But the Blazers organization will be looked at as doing Dame dirty if he's traded. Don't tell me about money. Greats get the money. But the Blazers will be looked at by other players as a team that's full of BS when it comes to surrounding a generational player with help.

It's hard enough to get guys to come here anyways. It's Russian Roulette.

So would I. I wrote about potential trade involving him. But it would have taken real compensation. Rudy freakin' Gay dude. To get Collins. That's all it took.

Rudy Gay and a 2nd round draft pick. We got F-ing 5 of those back from GS. Can we use them for Real Players, or is that not allowed by Portland.

Who has said that? Find me one person. I dare you. Find one poster who has said that Scoot and Sharpe will be All World.

We'd need cap space. We don't have any.

I don't know why radio stations still talk to Dave Deckard.

Dude lives in Idaho. He's basically a fan. They'd be better off with almost anyone from this board.

Yeah I think Collins or Porzingis would've been a great frontcourt addition. None of them were traded for a #3 level asset, or even a #23 level asset.

Danny Ainge is a BPA guy - or best asset available. He'll worry about positions when that team trys to win.

Don't be disingenuous. When you take into account cap space, they went for at least those values.

Porzingis wasn't traded for cap space. The Celtics got him AND multiple first round picks.
