I’d say Phil be generous and work this into your offer and let’s close this thing. I think there is a number that would get her attention.

As for the discussion with Cronin, I have no doubt Joe asked him to give him until the trade deadline to show that he’s serious about building around Dame. And Dame and his agent no doubt told him you have until the start of training camp.

I like the roster but the guy that needs to he dangled is the guy that I think has wanted out for a while now and that’s Simons. They need to move him pieces for a legit Small Forward. Pascal Siakiam would good or maybe his teammate.

I think Damian is sincere when he says he wants to stay. I really think he does. He’s given them every opportunity and not once forced their hand. He now needs this management to show them that they are
competent enough to build a winner around him.

I usually like The Locked On by Mike Richman. But today's episode, my goodness. These 2 Miami guys who hope Portland make them a discount because Dame is a nice guy so the Heat still can keep pieces... all this stuff makes me want this saga to end as soon as possible.

Stop this, where are these reports? You are just making this up, reports are Siakam has said he won't sign an extension
What if you're just trying to find more reasons to get people to rally around your drama takes? What if you stop posting for more than a hour...you live on this board my god.

    truth.

Some people should really just ease up and take a break before they only have a few people left who doesn't have them on ignore.
Just be measured to make this place more pleasant for all.
Instead… its a dick move to say use the ignore button, rather than take a moment to see how much time and energy one is wasting while simultaneously becoming increasingly annoying to the bulk of the other members.
really pretty selfish if you ask me.
Day and night, every thread, every third post….
Over and over basically saying the same thing…

Neither Dame, Windhorst, Haynes or anyone has shut down the Cronin release. I think it's pretty safe to say that the news is real for now.

A few of the mods posts seem bot-like. It's being handled. We are human. We aren't bots. A lot of the bot-like posts aren't intentionally made human-like. We can't always post like mammals. If you'd like to go elsewhere, that's your prerogative.

    What cronin release?

The news I heared was Cronin said he and Dame had a good dialogue and the blazers wanna continue to build around Dame.

But Haynes himself, Marang, Highkin reported the Cronin statement

Hanes wont refute his own tweet. So what Cronin release are you pertaining to?

Yes, that was Cronin's statement, and the point is that none of the other national "pundits" who have been repeatedly claiming that Dame wants to be traded have said anything that contradicts Cronin's statement, and that's a good thing.

To the bolded....look, I am not trying to single you out. This is a general response to an existing trend.

I am genuinely surprised. What is there to be over? The only unexecuted events.....or unanswered questions......were created by fans who feed their own team building drama.

Dame has said he wants to remain here. Take him at his word.
Cronin has said he wants to build around Dame. Take him at his word.
The only way he does get traded, is if a ridiculously stupid offer comes forth from a team who thinks Mr Lillard is the missing piece from their title. Cronin would quite likely sit down with him and his agent, and show him this possibility. The only reason Dame would say yes, I want to go....would likely have to trump almost 50 million dollars a year, make his wife happy, and make it worth leaving his business, home, childrens school. etc. All Mr. Lillard has said is he wants a shot. Never, has he demanded a title. Fans however, have repeatedly put those words in his mouth. The only reason the Blazers acquiesce, is if it makes sense for the team, and makes Damian happy. He's earned that consideration.

You said you want it over. Honestly, I would like those who feel they are being strung along the tip of the drama kite tail, to just let go and enjoy the rare basketball experience that is, Damian Lillard.

Take it from an old guy....If in your whole Blazer fan life, you get to experience another Damian Lillard type player in a Blazer uniform, consider yourself really fortunate.

I must insist on correcting your misguided notion that the phrase "it can be done". How can one possibly overlook the profound philosophical inaccuracies present in such a statement? You seem to possess the intellectual acumen of a ninkompoop, blindly disregarding the fundamental principles that underpin philosophical inquiry.

It is essential to acknowledge that not everything falls within the realm of possibility. Reality imposes immutable constraints upon our endeavors. The laws of nature, the boundaries of human knowledge, and the dictates of logic and reason all serve as shackles that bind our aspirations. To dismiss these constraints and brazenly proclaim that "it can be done" is nothing short of utter foolishness, a testament to your profound ignorance.

Furthermore, the sentiment that "it can be done" undermines the recognition of genuine achievements and belittles the intricacies inherent in human endeavors. It fails to acknowledge the challenges and complexities that mark our paths to success. Such a simplistic view of the world is the mark of an imbecile, incapable of comprehending the multifaceted nature of our collective human experience.

In conclusion, I implore you to reconsider your foolish proclamation. The phrase "it can be done" is nothing more than a hollow platitude, bereft of philosophical substance. Embrace a more nuanced and realistic perspective, one that acknowledges both the possibilities and limitations that define our existence. Only then can you transcend the limitations of your own intellectual ineptitude.

I think it's mostly due to his glorious goatee. Think about it. That carefully groomed patch of facial hair is like a secret code that says, "Hey, I know my stuff when it comes to hoops." It's like a built-in signal that screams, "Listen to me, for I am a true basketball aficionado." The goatee acts as a symbol of expertise, an unspoken guarantee that you're about to hear some real-deal insights.

Now, I'm not saying that every person with a goatee is a basketball genius, but let's just say the odds are in their favor. There's something about that distinctive facial hair that exudes confidence and swagger, qualities often associated with basketball greatness. It's like their goatee is a direct pipeline to the basketball gods, providing them with an extra dose of hoops wisdom.

So, the next time you come across a podcast hosted by a goatee-sporting individual, give them a chance. Trust their basketball knowledge and let their goatee guide you through the hoops landscape. Who knows, you might just stumble upon some incredible insights, entertaining banter, and a podcast experience that leaves you craving for more.

I think that is the main reason why poeple troll Torey and Hoopsjock so much on their show. No respect for their lack of alpha presence.
