Houston should still have about 26M to spend after giving FVV about 40M in that first year.

almost makes the Grant signing seem not so bad, I thought his knees were becoming an issue?

Losing FVV might make Toronto want a guy like Ant really badly.

Toronto rich on front court, poor on back court. We are the exact opposite. Hello Masai, how are ya?

Maybe just OG but I think it put Masai in a bit of a different position where his negotiations are a bit more grounded in reality.

Yes, but Masai wants Ant, Sharpe, and 3 future 1sts because OG is better than Scottie Pippen in his mind.

They saw this coming from a mile away... I can't imagine they suddenly would want Ant more than they did at the trade deadline or the draft.

Don't see why Houston does that. FVV is undersized and unreliable. 40mil? shit-o-dear. Makes Grant's deal not seem so bad.

OG for Ant (+ something) almost makes too much sense.

Crazy that FVV got a bigger contract than Kyrie.

They need an experienced guy to help their young guys understand how to take the next step. That might have been one of the worst assemblages of a lot of pure talent last year that we've seen. They needed a leader. VanVleet is worth the money to them just from that standpoint.
