i so badly wish we had a GM with a spine man. Play hardball now. Take it til October or the deadline. Why do we need to make the move today? What else will Dame do-- he's already requested a deal.
I think they're ready to turn the page. I think they want to hand the team to Scoot. I think they just want it over.
I've seen 20+ proposals. None of which have less than 1 first round pick, so I'm unsure what proposal you're talking about. If you haven't seen proposals with more than 1 first round pick, I can send them to you. I'm guessing you have though.
Cronin is a green thumb. He doesn't know how to play hardball. The other GMs think he's a joke. They walk all over him. I don't see this being different. Hopefully, he grows a pair.
The other side of it is Pat Riley is one of the best GMs, one of the best trade makers..so there's a high probability he bends Cronin over. I truly think if we can pull off a solid return this will springboard us forward, but the opposite is also true. Given our recent history its hard to be optimistic but I'm trying.
And this is why it annoys the fuck out of me that we pushed Dame out. If we never really intended on building a winner around Dame, we should've used our "assets" much differently and blew it up last year.
