you're getting philosophical....I was asking a specific question to somebody who implied the Blazers were building a better team without Dame than with him. For all we know, Portland could spend the next 7 years in the lottery
What kind of power does he have if this gets nasty? What’s he gonna do, not collect his 50 mil this year? Yeah right. Call the bluff ball-less Joe!
Maybe Dame feels like since he couldn't do it his way here, he'll just go to the place where he has the best chance at the most rings.
...at the impossible. Fuck Olshey. Oh well, only thanks to Dame as he gave his best and of course will be thought of among the greats of the franchise and a class act. I hope he wins and Portland gets what they need to build a contender down the line. I think this is for the best for both parties. STOMP
Okay, and with Dame we were in the Lottery the last 2 years. Sorry my response wasn't to your liking.
I think that July 1st, should be the day from here forward that we celebrate finger pointing. I mean....what the heck. Don't we have like...a taco day?
c'mon man....you've made a point several times to complain about people responding to points other people didn't make. And you're doing it to me now I asked somebody how they could know Portland was doing a better job building a team without Dame than they did with him. That was all
I like his confidence. how about Shae for MIP? He could easily average 20+\6/6 with the minutes he should get. These two i think will be alot more fun to watch together than some are thinking.
Nah, just get it done. I don't think Dame has the power to say exactly where he will go but if we can get Miami's two available picks that should be after both Dame and Butler are past their prime, get Jovic and get value from a third or even fourth team for players like Herro and Lowry, then just get the thing done. If you get a good deal with Brooklyn, you tell Dame that's where he's going and see what he does... maybe he's so hard core that he would have his agent call Sean Marks and tell him not to do it or more likely he just chills out and goes with it since he just named them as a team he'd be cool with. It does us no good to get nasty with the guy who has been our franchise player and a model of loyalty for over a decade. That's a really bad look. The NBA is a political animal and Dame has a lot of respect.
Nobody knows that. But it seems that they are taking the right approach, turn shitty assets into good ones through the draft instead of trying to do that through the trade market. It's easier to do it through the draft, so there is a good chance it will work better. There are no guarantees however, I will give you that.
Not only that, it's freaking South Beach. (Ok it's Miami, but South Beach sounds more glamorous). Well-known destination of ring chasers.
we dont owe dame lillard anything, neither does he owe us anything he looks for his best interest, thats fair, but so should we, simple as that
Dame has said before he'd like to play there also. Would piss me off to see him 4x a yr but they have a ton of picks.
