    It could last weeks.

    Or not.

Thanks for the tip, "Blazers Insider" Aaron J for Jackoff Fentress.

Is Portland in the market for a 6'2 shooting guard?

It's so hard to know what is true and what isn't.

Obviously, if stuff like this is true, and Ant's value is that low, then you can understand why holding onto him makes some sense. Cronin would've been ripped for that trade by some and certainly would've been ripped if he gave up more. A no win situation.

No one is stopping you from discussing other Blazers players, but you shouldn't ask us to stop discussing the biggest Blazers trade in almost 30 years.

Portland was ready to make Scoot a SF, player positions no longer matter in the bpa Blazers era.

No, I think they are THAT great, but Oops All Forwards! is a dubious strategy. And, it's weird that the Oops All Forwards! Team doesn't want to get together with the Oops All Guards! team.

i really like maxey (more than simons), hes a really good player and hes only 22 years old

that being said, its best to play sharpe at his natural position (sg), but im not gonna lie, id like us to have scoot-maxey-sharpe

also, phila will definitely offer maxey if they can land dame, no doubt about it

I don't really know what Maxey's value is. In theory I'd be OK with getting him and Tobias Harris and re-routing him, but I'm not sure what the return could be. Could we get Jarret Allen or Jeremy Sochan? Any interest in the Hawks young center? Would Nic Claxton be gettable with Maxey?

maxey is, just like scoot & sharpe, potential all-star player (guy is efficient, elite 3-point shooter)

portland would be the most exciting young team, no-one would have more young talent than us

Do you have a sense for his locker room presence? Specifically, how does he treat janitorial staffs around the league?

Hmm... you think something like this would have been criticized by Blazers fans?

    upload_2023-7-3_16-55-26.png

That might have been a Dame-saving trade, and it seems in the realm of reality for Toronto.

Personally, I am not sure I would have been happy, but I could have seen it, and our starting lineup of
    Dame
    Sharpe
    OG
    Grant
    Nurk

would be pretty darn good and balanced. We'd still need to add bigs, but it would have balanced the roster a bit and made us better immediately.

Take it for what it’s worth but one whisper I’ve heard is Zion as centerpiece of a Dame deal with NOP.

I don’t expect this trade to happen quickly…it’s going to be a game of cat and mouse for sure.

Maxey actually grew up on a Value farm, picking fresh Value out of the ground with his family. Put to work at the young age of 8, this broke his spirit. He spent his teenage years not wanting to see Value any longer. He was sick of it. So value left him. There was Value for breakfast, Value for dinner, Value in his sweat and blood, but coincidentally no Value in the most important place: his reflection in the mirror. As a young adult, he began a new chapter as a basketball player, roaming the country from one city to the next seeking to reclaim the Value he once knew.

THAT would be a fascinating trade. It could result in us basically giving Dame away (while paying a massive salary for a dude who can't get on the floor) or result in the Blazers adding a future hall of famer.

1000% some fans would've criticized it. I don't know if I heard it or read it, but on June 30th, I believe some felt we should've only offered Ant for OG, and no picks.

This is the issue. I feel some folks will always play the "it could've been better" or "we overpaid" card, regardless of what happened.

I hope not. That fat piece of shit has a lot of issues. He has been emitting flatulence of epic proportions, wreaking havoc on team chemistry. Teammates have reportedly had to wear gas masks during practices, leading to some truly comical scenes on the court. It seems Zion's true superpower isn't his dunks, but his ability to clear a room faster than a fire alarm!

He also has an obsession with collecting garden gnomes. Yes, those little ceramic creatures you find adorning people's lawns. Rumor has it that he has a vast collection of over 500 gnomes hidden away in his mansion, each with its own unique personality and backstory. Apparently, he even dresses them up for different occasions and hosts elaborate gnome tea parties.

While these scandals may not have the same shock value as some of the more salacious rumors, they certainly add a dash of absurdity to Zion Williamson's already fascinating persona. He's just a weird fatass. Don't want him around Scoot.
