why wouldn't we sign him? he's over 7 ft and actually was finally healthy and had a pretty decent yr for Orlando? He's 23, is there some issues I/we should know about?
He's a bad basketball player that flashes enough to think he warrants pt over players actually worth investing time and money into. ...no thanks.
When do we need him? He shouldn't be playing defense like a madman and being an utter nothing on the offensive end as we're floating around in the lottery. Why bother spending money on that? He's 26 and obviously is always going to be limited. I'd rather spend whatever we'd spend on him on another guy who's taller than 6'8" so we can play our young guards and wings without having five small dudes on the court all the time.
Can't play 5 on D and have to zone up if you put him anywhere else. He's a bit player that you have to cater your whole gameplan to. Is he worth the minimum? Sure. Is it worth having him around, not for me.
Bol Bol has no place on a serious NBA team. Maybe ya'll haven't seen enough to know that...but yeah im good missing on whatever his "upside" looks like.
It would be easier to decide after we see what we get back for Dame. I'm hoping it includes someone better than Bol. If the Blazers extend an offer, that would mean the Blazers don't think it will.
I don't think he's a positive on that contract (or at least not much of one). I think it's a bad contract. Bad contracts make even good players worth negative value. I guess we'll see, but given I think he's not a big positive, I'd rather have him off the roster and give minutes to younger and cheaper guys.
