No one wants Herro.....might even have to pay to get him moved. So not shocking that moving Ant/Nurk didn't bring a lot of value to add to Dame.

If we had a player that good, and still young, would we want to give him up for basically just taking on a bad contract?

He’s a 23 year old who is basically a 50/40/90 guy on good volume. He’s not a fit for us

He’s a slightly better version of Ant

That's exactly what I'd expect Dropping Dimes to say.

Simmons, Claxton, and all of Miami's former first rounders, with 3 unprotected picks for Dame and Nurk?

Hero and Nurk go to BK.

    Ok i guess

Not sure that Claxton is coming. How would he be included?

Herro and Nurk for Simmons and Claxton would be the BK side of things.

I love the thought, but there's no way that let's go for that deal.

If they are offering Claxton in a trade I would prefer it over a pick. If it's for 2 picks, I'd think hard about it, depending on the picks I guess. Without knowing exactly, I would probably still take a flyer on Nic. Because it takes finding a starting level center off the to do list for now. Less holes to fill and it would be nice to get at least 1 starter at a position of need from trading Dame. It helps balance the roster. It will shore up the rebounding to make up for Grant. Nic does a lot that the team currently doesn't. It also sets a good defensive precedent for the young guys to buy into. Another lob threat would be nice. I hope Scoot isn't lob-phobic, so any extra targets is a plus to me. I'd like to set them up for some near term success if possible. I don't expect miracles though

I get the allure of picks, I feel the same, but obviously nothing is guaranteed about them or the draft being good. Or even if Claxton stays long term or is the right fit. I do think forgoing some capital now to help the youth is positive, I would rather aim for something foundational. Is Claxton it, I don't know. I get that it's best to build through the draft. But this team has squandered taking shots at getting difference makers and everyone was unhappy with that decision. And how many picks does this team need in the future? I'd definitely like more because the CBA changes a lot. Rookie contracts are so valuable, it may be better to just take the picks. I also don't want to end up watching a farm team. I am not saying that will happen, but man how long do we have to wait around

They need to take at least a few calculated risks, Claxton or otherwise. I think everyone can agree that we want this team to be more aggressive for once this decade. Here is hoping that it is finally being forced upon them

In the end Claxton could still be traded at any time if necessary for a pick, maybe 2.

What if we redirect Jasquez or Jovic to BK?

I want to draw the line in the sand somewhere. Claxton could atleast maybe be a good longterm piece.

Ok, take the two FRP's now and clear the decks to sign Claxton when he becomes a free agent!
