Here is a cheat sheet: Woj = Gets information from TEAMS. Shams = Get information from agents of players. Naturally, Woj's information is more team biased, and Shams information is more player biased.
I sure hope this image Dame put on wasn’t a facade. The longer this goes on the more his true colors are going to come out.
Good luck to Goodwin on selling the pouty Dame crap to GMs around the league. Does anyone really think that if Dame got moved to Boston and had the chance to play with Tatum and Brown he’s going to be stomping his feet and pouting in the corner of the locker room? After 11 years of what he’s dealt with as teammates, that would be a dream situation. I get that Dame likes the appeal of South Beach, but I’m not buying what Goodwin’s shoveling.
I like it that Joe is not being pressured into making a bad deal (taking him at his word anyway). I'd be happy with any kind of positive asset/s though. I seriously don't think the market for 33 year old Dame at this contract is going to be anywhere close to if this were going down 4 years ago.
Goodwin will be hurting his credibility if this goes for awhile. His clients will be hurt due that GM will not want to deal with him at all. Not saying he shouldn't do what his client wants but if he putting out bull shit out there and that's gets around that could hurt other clients he has down the road.
I have been saying this since Rich Paul... if I'm the NBA and I see an agent growing far too powerful, I'm black listing him. It's like breaking up a monopoly.
He has a massive fanbase there. He even said he'd like to play there before. But i dont see why Ainge does this.
If the offers are good enough now, they'll be better closer to the season or at the trade deadline. Lillard is too much of a competitor to not come to camp ready to play. Especially if he's playing to be traded. Might it be a distraction? Sure. But taking a bad deal would be worse.
I don't think we've reached the contentious phase in this divorce yet where sides can't walk back what's done yet.
I'd think Cronin's asking price has to be a little prorated for someone in the division. The crazy thing is the Jazz might be able to offer that without blinking.
Lillard would have to go to Utah all happy, and Danny Ainge would trade like a demon to build the team, now. Ainge builds a winner with Lillard, and Pat Riley is left holding the poo-poo platter. Utah is best case scenario for competitive offers.
The number of dumbasses over every social media plateform thinking Lillard is the bad guy like Cronin didn't get exactly what he wanted is astonishing. Lillard wants to go to Miami, big deal, maybe the FO should have thought about the repercussions before fucking him over and acting in bad faith. Be fucking honest Cronin
