None of their young guys are exciting. But at this point, I'm demanding them be included just to squeeze Miami as much as we can.... which isn't saying much.

    An actual quote from Goodwin.

This is just shameless really. What is that idiom about not biting the hand that feeds you again?

So Dame and his agent are under the impression that he's a free agent. Idiots.

Dame is looking like a major bitch. KD the snake didn’t even do this 1 team shit. Why spend 10 years building up ur rep/brand to ruin it in 3 weeks? Oh yeah…money.

Also didn't realize this stuff has to be done so publicly now.

    Burning bridges.

They are doing everything in their power to ensure he goes to the Heat. Scorched earth.

No, for a trophy. I hope when he gets it, if he does, in that moment, he remembers how he fucked us, and decided to coattail ride, that it feels less worthy to have won it.

    I don't think so

player agents have always been the obvious grey area in all these tampering rules. Teams can't talk to players under contract to another team. But the NBA does not have the power to restrict what an agent says to GM's

Is it? Agents are usually exempt.

Just unscrupulous. Goodwin interfering in team negotiations all after we gave his client a supermax, gave another injured client a deal no one was offering, and signed a guy who couldn't hang in Romania to two different NBA deals.

    Ungrateful bitch.

Dame is frugal. No way he leaves that money on the table. That's why I tend to think this is all just a play because I don't believe for a second that Dame would sit out. And I think once he could only sign that super max with us, he was stuck with us until this summer.

If we get 2 1s 3-5 years from now, Herro and Duncan the entire league will laugh at us.

If it’s Miami, Jovic, Jaquez, Martin and 3 unprotected picks and 2 pick swaps — along with the returns for Herro to a 3rd team.

The 2027-28 season puts Lillard at 37. Butler at 38. Will Miami be able to build and backfill well enough around Bam? Miami rarely has crappy enough years to make the picks and pick swaps valuable. It’s not a great bet compared to getting the picks of routinely crappy teams.

Didn't we hook up Aaron Goodwin on that deal for GPII?

This is why I have always said it's horse shit.

Sounds to me like Goodwin and Dame are nervous. They don't really have anymore plays to make here. Tell them to get on their knees and Blow, Joe!
