I was looking up the current cap situation for all NBA teams on Spotrac and look what I noticed: We're the youngest roster in the NBA. I knew we were young, but it's surprising that we're #1 in that regard. And we might get a bit younger after a Dame deal, too. It's also interesting that we are more over the cap than the 12 next-youngest teams, but I don't even know how to unpack that as I am utterly confused by why we keep paying as much as we do to retain our own players.
We have to pay more to retain our players because we are the Blazers, the pariah of the league. No one wants to come here.
Geez did you even bother to click into the details? The 180 includes cap holds. We’re under the tax with 13 players. Guarantee we’ll stay under.
Dear Lord. Who gives a fuck? You think I don't know what that column represents? I am posting about the age of our team, not the specifics of our contracts. EVERY team has their holds included in that amount, so unless you're going to click through to every team and make your own column, your point is irrelevant.
Yup. Gotta hope to be competing so an extension happens. And making the playoffs isn’t enough, guys like Aldridge still bolted.
