I will say it was interesting Cronin left the door open to Dame returning.

When Shae and Scoot are multi time all NBA Dame will opt out of his player option and join the blazers for a discount just in time for us to threepeat

An injury to Jimmy, Dame, or Bam and that picks gets pretty good.

It's almost as if you called Jummy, Dame or Ban "insult"

Honestly… if we had already won back-to-back titles WITHOUT him, I’m telling him to “kick hot rocks with flip-flops & no socks!”

I would like to know what the trades were that they couldn't pull off?
I guess I dont blame Dame.....if we couldn't make something happen?

I still think once we got #3 he decided a new path would be easier than finding making a trade. Thats's cool, he and Chauncey are both learning while doing.

Grant is overpaid imo but he’s a pretty solid guy to have around the pups. He’s gonna help their development more than hurt it is my point.

I think he would say that no matter what. They want to maintain "good guy" status here. Emphasize that it's DAME who wants to break up.

That's what I mentioned the other day in one of my post, was that Joe should apologize to Dame for overselling the prospect of making something happen. I think thats what he did in today as well. Im sure he's shared that with Dame as well in some way.

I think their is a very slim chance of that happening, but agree that the door seems to be open if he wants too.

That does appear to be an accurate statement.

Don’t want Dame back. What made him special was that here was a superstar who wanted to play his whole career in Portland. Now he’s walking out after only 11 years. He’s not Reggie or Kobe or Dirk. He’s just a guy who got numbers, ditched us in the middle of his contract when the going got tough, and handcuffed us from getting a good deal for him. Maybe if he had won a title for us, I’d feel different about him.

Cronin said it could take months to work out. So the Blazers could well start the season with Dame. What happens if they are playing really well? Especially if Miami isn't? Would that change his mind?

It has been mentioned the Lillards are going through a divorce. I have not seen that confirmed, but it could explain his wanting to leave. I don't know where his wife is from, but if she returns to her home town with her children I can see how hard it would be for Dame to live in Portland alone. Why he would want a clean break.

Dame wants to go, Dame needs to go. Trade him at some point and move on. We are not going to win with him
