Haynes mentioned a 4 way trade between us, Miami, Brooklyn and Detroit. Problem is Brooklyn would be taking Herro in that deal.
An impartial view of the Damian Lillard trade options, and the fact that the Blazers aren't on the clock. Sheldon from Utility Sports. "If you're another team, he's under contract for a long time. You have to call his bluff."
They just signed Stewart to a big deal. It has to be Wiseman or Bagley that would be coming back to us.
Neither of them are very exciting. They are the Cam Reddishes of centers. Sometimes they look really good, but they're not consistent at all and not worth paying extra money for. I'd rather get a backup center that you know what he is going to give you night in and night out.
of all the lottery teams to bring into a Dame deal, Detroit might be the worst because they don't have an available unencumbered 1st round pick till 2029
All of the points mentioned above, contrasting with TBPup's suggestion that they're a more appealing partner leads me to wonder if perhaps Duren might be the one in play... I refuse to let myself believe that's the case, but in looking at all the facts, it certainly seems like a square peg/round hole situation, OR, a "holy crap how did we get that guy" situation...
Lillard wants clarity soon then later?? If he wants an answer now I'd tell him to be ready to play in Portland.
you must be incredibly high on Duren IMO, if Duren is the centerpiece of a Dame trade and Portland is getting him instead of one or two first round picks they have failed
I don't want to move Nurk. I don't understand dumping a skilled center for an unskilled one. It's removing a literally big threat for the Blazers on offense. Adams has trouble keeping Nurk from the hoop, and he's made of granite.
I don't want "chances" personally. Scoot deserves players that are ready to play, not projects. Scoot throws a perfect post pass, that guy better be able to convert.
Ok, let's wait. I mean, I can watch Scoot, Sharpe, Walker, Little and Nurk. I don't have ANY problem with that. If Damian wants to Ezeli, so be it, but fuck Miami hard.
I would very easily take Duren over any 1 first round pick w are likely to get in a trade. Put up 9 and 9, and won't even be 20 until next season starts? He's already put in a pretty good rookie season, and is 10 months younger than the Thompson twins, a year younger than Brandon Miller. *Edit* I'll add, I don't think there's ANY chance he's be part of this deal.
Not me, I would just tell him to tell his people to give me at least 2 or 3 other teams and have those people (Goodwin) communicate to those teams that Dame would like to play there. Then some shit can get rolling, then Dame and the rest of us can have some clarity. If Dame wants to stay with Miami or bust, he'll probably be waiting.
