Honestly don’t think Sharpe gave a shit about summer league. He was working on a few things that coaches wanted to see but seemed disinterested until the end of games when he seemed to flip a switch. I think once regular season starts he’ll be completely different player (although he will have ups and downs) that will score 20 without even trying.

I apologize I keep saying it but his approach to meaningless games is same as Drexler.

Dame also coasted pretty hard in meaningless games.

Yah I thought Shaedon was fine in SL. He was inconsistent, but he clearly is ultra-talented. It was great seeing him put in work Thursday.

I loved the 71 Dame put up in a meaningless game against Houston last year.

My guy doesn’t “coast” ever. Why would somebody ever think that?

Sharpe looked like a 19/20 year old 2nd year player who barely played their rookie year. He will look exactly the same all season in my opinion and I’m cool with that. I won’t hold accountable until that 3rd season as long as he gets tons of PT this season.

I'm not sure anyone poised to be on the roster did as well as I had hoped.

    • Scoot got hurt, not really his fault.
    • Sharpe struggled to score with efficiency
    • Walker was solid, like last summer, but didn't show a significant soph jump
    • Murray did some nice stuff, but didn't show much upside
    • Rupert looks a year away from being a year away
Luckily, medicore summer league performances isn't the end all.

I am actually really impressed with Murray. I said on here somewhere how I hadn’t seen him play at all before this and he looked really smooth out there. Like his shot release and the way he moved without the ball. Maybe a not as athletic Danny Granger?

Scoot believe the hype! How long before Charlotte fans go on suicide watch?!
Devoe was impressive. He would be a great change of pace to Scoot going balls out all the time. The last few games he didn't shoot as much and was very effective when he did.
Shaedon looked like he was trying to make the highlights every trip and when he wasn't scoring he lost interest. That's not meant to be negative criticism.
Murray looks like a guy who will never try to do too much. Good defender. Good rebounder. Very good shooter. I keep comparing him to Tayshaun Prince.
Rupert I really hope can emulate Batum as far as looking lost in SL then settling into his role in the regular season.
Walker if Grant and Nurk would work at rebounding as hard as Jabari, I wouldn't be concerned about that facet of the game. Too bad Jabari isn't a couple inches taller.
Minaya was very impressive in limited minutes. Does a little of everything. Could be a contributor if he was a little bigger and more athletic.
Ibadji good old fashioned project. Watching his teammates react when he made a play tells me he's well liked and probably has a very good attitude.
Reath he's the older, slower guy that shows up for open gym and none of the younger guys can figure out how to stop him. Ideally, he's the #3 center, which means he'll still get some run because of Nurk's inevitable injuries.
All in all, I look forward to seeing most of these guys improve with the Remix.

I was disappointed in Sharpe's play. A little too much, hot & cold in his motor. I hope it changes, he's young. But he's a bit too passive for my liking right now. Neither center did anything for me. Murray's performance was meh. But i think he does have a nice outside shot.

Scoot looked good on offense . His outside game will take a little refining. Defensive wise, he tries, but i don't see anything amazing. But one thing i don't question, like i do with Sharpe, is his motor. He's got an all star motor.

Jabari looked like he worked hard in the offseason and his game is coming along. Really like Devoe. Not as good a facilitator as Skylar Mays, but his shooting touch has a chance to be special. He was the Blazers MVP this summer IMO.

Even though the Blazers won more than they lost, i didn't like the flow and vibe of the team. It wasn't as fun to watch as last years team. No Scoot definitely hurt that. But Sharpe should have been dominant IMO. He wasn't. Major buzzkill for me.

Forgot Rupert. He's a major developmental guy. Didn't impress me at all. But it's early.

    Drexler, Dame, Sharpe.

So, how long till Sharpe requests a trade to a contender, then?

I know it's pretty unrelated to this subject, but i still don't get the waiving of Watford. Dude was a glue guy. His enthusiasm, and development will be missed. Maybe a reason for Shaedon to not be as amped. Or not. But Trendon was better than anyone on this summer league team not named Scoot or Sharpe, and it's wasn't close.

If it was just a money move, it was inexcusable. I have a feeling that it was a move by Joe to force Chauncey to play Jabari, because after a stellar Summer League, it really seemed like Chauncey just didn't like Walker.
