This is promising news: “According to people Matt Moore of The Action Network spoke to, Lillard is not expected to sit out if he’s traded somewhere he doesn’t want to be.” Great. Send him to Minnesota. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nb...1&cvid=c96c0108541f48f9b6638e8d6c52945d&ei=10
If that is true, then for his own reputation he should come out and say that he just wants to be traded to a contending team. Not saying anything doesn't really help. Yes, he will not sit out, but nobody will trade value for an unhappy, but playing, Dame.
As far as I understand, public acknowledgment of trade requests are subject to a fine from the league.
I think it's a case of either him realizing that Miami is unlikely, or his way of saying "get your shit together Miami". But if you ask Miami fans, it's proof he's being traded today with several picks and assets for Herro alone.
Word on the street is KAT is done in Minny. I do not want him on the blazers tho. Also, the reporting is funny, the source is people the network spoke to, wtf is that? Still, I believe Dame won't sit.
I want to see KAT on another team before acting like he’s a bust. Remember- at one point he won the GM survey for who is the one player you’d take to build around.
I don't think it's likely Dame would sit out, but I'm not sure Matt Moore would be the source to actually know what Dame would/wouldn't do.
Not surprising. He's too competitive to ever sit out simply to try to force a move to another team. Not to mention the money he would lose.
And that "at one point" is not today. So it means one thing: he's not worth it today. Times change. Keep up and don't fall for old news.
